In 4/5X, we have worked together to find out what ‘Learning Together’ means to the students in KG.

In the process, we discovered what learning together also means to us. Learning together for us is a chance to interact with your friends and learn at the same time. If somebody makes a mistake people in your group can help and correct you, and we have also learnt that if you are in a group you can learn from your group members. It’s an opportunity to know more about each other. -Students of 4/5X

Exploring Sound in 1H

In Science, 1H students are learning together and exploring how sounds are produced through vibrations. They have identified sounds in the environment and begun to investigate how high and low sounds are a product of different speeds of vibrations. As a group we tested out the theory of how sound is made by making a cup and string telephone. Students worked together building their ‘phones’ and had lots of fun discovering which worked better – loose or taut string.

KG And 1H Learning STEM Together

Throughout the year, Kindergarten and Year 1 students have enjoyed learning together with their combined STEM challenges. This week’s challenge was to make a Kazoo - linking their learning to a science unit on “sound”. They had a lot of fun and made a lot of noise!!
