The objective of this course is to help students understand the conceptual

Objective

The objective of this course is to make the students learn the applications

of statistical tools and techniques for decision making.

An overview of central tendency, measures of dispersion, srewness and

kurtosis; Correlation and regression Analysis: Two variables cases. Index

Number- Meaning, type- Weighted, aggregative indices – Laspeyres and

paasch’s indices; indices of weighted average of (Price – quantity)

relatives; test of adeqnacy; shifting the base, overlapping index scries;

uses and problems.

PROBABILITY THEORY: Probability-classical, relative, and subjective

probability; Addition and Multiplication theorem, conditional probability and

Baye’s theorem.

PROBABILITY DISTRIBUTION: Binomial, prison and Normal distributions;

their characteristics and applications.
