COURSE SYNOPSYS:
This course will provide students with basic knowledge of information and communication technology. Besides bringing the basic knowledge of computer fundamental and multimedia, students are also given skills to use automated software with applied multimedia elements, Internet and communication software such as email to upgrade the quality of work. Students are also exposed to the ICT security and ethics.
(Kursus ini akan menyediakan para pelajar dengan pengetahuan asas mengenai teknologi maklumat dan komunikasi. Selain daripada itu, para pelajar akan diberi kemahiran menggunakan perisian-perisian yang disokong oleh elemen multimedia, Internet dan komunikasi bagi meningkatkan kualiti tugasan yang disediakan. Pelajar juga akan didedahkan kepada keselamatan dan etika dalam ICT.)
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this course, students will be able to: 1. Define the concept of Information Technology.2. Distinguish design, function and components of computer software and hardware.3. Describe data communication and computer network basic concept.4. Create software application using MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. 5. Discuss how technology can be use to change the normal competition.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
At the end of this lesson, students should be able to:
1. Understanding the basic knowledge about information technology (C2). 2. Identify basic computer components, applications, usage and features (P1). 3. Develop an application using word processing software, presentation software and
worksheet processing software (A2, CS3).
