Switch represents the ambitious and powerful spirit of India. One of the largest electrical expos in the country, Switch is to be held from October 6 to 10, 2016, in Vadodara. Promoted by the Department of Energy & Petrochemicals and supported by Government of Gujarat, this biennial platform is aimed to rev up India's power sector. It represents one of the biggest networks of electrical manufacturers, innovators, technologies and partners in the industry.

The SWITCH AWARDS – Excellence in Electrics & Electronics, is aimed at providing due recognition for the contributions made to the Electrical and Electronics industry. Innovation stands at the very core of this industry and drives its future course. It is thus vital that we recognize innovators who have championed excellence in the field and motivate them.

The awards will not only encourage and celebrate innovation, but also reward the contribution of individuals and teams across the electrical trade.

The Awards consist of a Trophy with citations at the Awards Presentation Ceremony of the Switch Global Expo 2016.

Applications are invited from:

• Industries

• Research Organizations & Laboratories

• Service Organizations

• Deserving Individuals

• PSUs

• Utilities (Electricals Sector)

Individuals and all other categories must be located in India.

A separate Jury headed by an independent individual nominated by the Expo Organizing Committee will be set up for deciding the Awards.

The decision of the Jury will be final and no appeal will be entertained.

Applications must clearly state details of the nominees, address and the category for which the award is filed

In case of industries and other institutions, application should contain the business of the applicant, the nature of its direct or indirect interest in the category applied for and description of work done

In case of individuals, please indicate date of birth, academic qualifications, current position and positions held earlier etc

A write up not exceeding 1000 words should be sent along with the application, describing the work done and contributions made for qualifying for the Award
