and sporty front face that incorporates clear headlamps and a wide airdam. This airdam not only helps the car hug

Our engineers have developed a new chassis design for a

variety of road conditions. A chassis refined through

hundreds of thousands of hours on both test bed and

road testing across different types of terrains. The result is

precise, dynamic handling - and that means a lot more

fun and enjoyment behind the wheel.

This enjoyment is enhanced by a choice of transmissions

and power assisted steering with a new steering gearbox

delivering a more direct feel. There's also an upgraded

braking system to bring you to a halt faster and safer.

The new Swift is not only sporty to look at, it offers a choice of two great new high performing engines: a 1.3 and 1.5 litre petrol

engines comprehensively upgraded to deliver performance tuned to low and mid-range speeds.

The 1.5 model has the latest VVT (Variable Valve Timing) technology to maximise power and torque across the rev range.

Transmissions available are a 5-speed Manual, and a 4-speed Automatic. The new Swift also has torsion-beam rear suspensionfor appropriate balance between performance and comfort.

with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution) delivers a good balance of braking power to both the front and

rear wheels (dependent on the number of occupants and loading conditions). Then there are SRS front

airbags, crumple zones, pre-tensioners and ISOFIX child seat attachments. Even pedestrians are taken
