During this period, we understand that children are spending more time online, whether that is for entertainment, to stay in touch with friends and family or tosupport their home learning. There are clearly many benefits to stayingconnected, however, increased time spent online may also increase the risk ofencountering online safety issues. We understand that as a parent or carer youmay have concerns about this. To support you in keeping your children safeonline, Welsh Government has produced some guidance which will help you toquickly navigate the online safety guidance and education resources available andaccess the information and advice you need. This includes practical tips on how toset up age-appropriate parental controls on devices and guidance on specificonline issues. https://hwb.gov.wales/zones/online-safety/repository/tree?sort=created&language=en&tags=Parents%20and%20carers&nodeId=cee03314-3bb8-4317-8e2b-5fd4ecc683a3

This week was really exciting because we had our first ever ‘live’ meeting onMicrosoft Teams! The children used their Hwb accounts to log into our meetingon Tuesday afternoon; we spent time talking about our experiences in lockdown, discussing the Parable of the Good Samaritan and getting to know thefeatures of ‘Teams’. It was great to see everyone for the first time since Marchand we look forward to our meeting next week. Also this week, we have beendeveloping our Welsh writing skills and looking at data handling in Maths. Ihope everyone is looking after themselves and will hopefully see you all soon.Take care. You confirmed thatJack is definitely shorter than the Giant! Weloved your descriptions of both Jack and theGiant and were really impressed with theadjectives you used. We were also amazedwith how many Welsh animal names younew. Fantastic! Miss O’Dare & Mrs Morgan x
