Swati Bondia is a young management

professional hailing from Odisha and a serial

entrepreneur. Her venture Om Shanti Traders is in

the focal area of those who follow the growth of

social enterprise in India. Through the venture she

supports the upliftment of many underprivileged

people in Karnataka and the venture is stretching

its wings to many other parts of India. She is

pursuing her Masters in Management from

Dayananda Sagar Business academy, Bangalore

and has completed her training in Inclusive

Business Model from IIM Bangalore. She is

trained under Dr. Sturat Hart, the person who co

created the ecosystem for the Bottom of the

pyramid. She is a regular ‘Entrepreneurial

Achievement Motivation‟ speaker and has

conducted sessions at Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal,

Bhutan, and many of the leading b-schools in

India.

She has been selected for UN funded „Bottom of

the Pyramid Challenge‟ at Colombia and was the

only one to represent SAARC region. Her ideas

are in the implementation stage at Bogota,

Colombia. She was awarded as the Sevak of the

year - a much coveted honor by prestigious Sevak

foundation.

Apart from this she has authored a dozen of management article and was featured by leading media

houses. She has authored a book called „The V Turn‟ reflecting success stories of 17 women

entrepreneurs. She was featured in the book called “Bhaag”. Her other two ventures 'Focus' and

„Enrich Solutions‟ also contribute equally to the society where the former trains the underprivileged

people to become entrepreneur and the latter helps to create virtual exhibition space to reach out to

more people. Her ultimate vision is to uplift the poor and underprivileged people and empower them.

She was awarded as ‘Outstanding student ’ during her graduation day ceremony on successful completion of Bachelors in Business Management from AIMS, Bangalore

Aditya Birla Group awarded her as ‘ IDEA STUDENT OF THE YEAR – 2012’ for her contributions to entrepreneurship and social upliftment. She was selected from more than 500 entries and through a very rigorous selection process.

Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) honoured her with ‘GNLU Bauribandu Mohapatra Community Service Award’ for her contribution to uplift the people who are in the ‘Bottom of the social Pyramid’.

Was selected to participate in BoP Challenge at Bogota which was organized by ‘University of Colombia’ supported by UN. She was the only one selected from SAARC region. Her views were well accepted in improving BoP segment

She represented Dayananda Sagar Business Academy (DSBA) and Om Shanti Traders and took sessions at Malaysia, Thailand and Nepal on various topics including career planning, entrepreneurship, social upliftment and sustainability.

She has conducted sessions at leading B-Schools in India motivating the students to become entrepreneurs and this includes premium business schools like IIMs. She mentors many student entrepreneurs to succeed in their business. She trains even the school children on entrepreneurship which was well received by the schools.

She used to conduct sessions for women in the rural part of Karnataka and mentors them to start business or Self Help Groups (SHGs) and in further marketing. She conducts sessions at places like Somanahalli, Tharalu, Byrapatna etc and try improve their employability and per capita income.
