• What is extinction?• In biology and ecology, extinction is the end of an organism or of a
group of organisms, normally a species. The moment of extinction is generally considered to be the death of the last individual of the species.
• Differences between extinct species and endangered species:• Extinct species: The last individual has died.• Endangered species: Facing a high risk of extinction in the wild.

Fun Facts• Where does the panda live?• The giant panda lives in a few mountain ranges in central China, mainly
in Sichuan province, but also in the Shaanxi and Gansu provinces. A video later to show the real living environment of Panda!
• How many pandas exist in the world?• The panda is a conservation reliant endangered species. A 2007 report
shows 239 pandas living in captivity inside China and another 27 outside the country. One estimate shows that there are about 1,590 individuals living in the wild.
• Reproduction: The giant panda produces the proportionally smallest baby of any placental mammal. When the cub is first born, it is pink, blind, and toothless.
