JanetSusmanJanet is one of our directors and in charge of the factory production. If you need a special order made for you she will always try to oblige. Janet can also help you decide which wine to choose as she has now worked her way through our huge range with the help of Larry. So if you cannot decide just ask either of them to help.

LaurenSusmanLauren is now our new Manager, she has worked her way up through the ranks and now overlooks the day to day running of the company, and acts as a second pair of eyes for Larry (he relies on them). Lauren will be the person who deals with your orders, returns, suppliers, reps, etc.etc.etc. and any customers who want to speak with Larry when he is unavailable. So, if you cannot get hold of Larry ask for her or contact her on sales@susman.com. Lauren deals with all the office work and the telephone calls so say hi when you speak to her.

SarahHillierSarah is the first point of contact when you phone us. She also processes all the internet orders so if you would like any help or information please contact her on sales@biltong.co.uk for our shop and Internet orders. If you would like anything ordered specially for you from home, just ask and she will do her best to get it.

Sam CoatesSam is our lead Butcher and you will find him in the factory making your biltong for you. He prides himself on a clean and tidy work place, this also includes making sure the washing up gets done (even if it’s not him doing it)! He is also a great help when anyone needs a hand.

Ben GranthamBen is now Lead Assistant working alongside Janet & Billy running his team and making sure that you get exactly what type of biltong you ordered and how you want it. You will also bump into him in our shop from time to time.

BillyFennerBilly has been with us a while you will find him in the shop, he also works alongside Jan in the factory picking and packing your biltong orders to your exact requirements for you to enjoy your taste of home!

BobbyParker

A TASTE OF AFRICAHow to store your Biltong Our biltong is made and stored in a strict controlled environment, until we

receive your order. Then and only then, we choose what you have asked for and pick it, slice it and pack it for you

personally. You will receive your biltong packed in gas-flushed thick plastic bags and packed in a protective

atmosphere. So keep the bags sealed and intact until you decide to eat it. However always be aware that the wetter your biltong is the shorter the shelf life. Once you open the bag, eat it or put the remainder of your biltong in an OPEN bowl and mix it up a bit. Make sure that you turn and mix up the biltong daily, this helps it to air but always eat within 3 days of opening if you can. Hang whole sticks of biltong on a hook or string, in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Never store in a sealed container, it will sweat and this will lead to mould growth. Biltong needs to 'breathe' it likes to be in dry air and make sure that it’s not touching anything else otherwise the following applies. WATER + OXYGEN + HEAT+CONTACT = MOULD
