assignments, and TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF by exercising, eating, and sleeping

Sit in the front …it’s not nerdy! Be a good group member Get there on time…better yet, be early Participate in class – instructors will notice Communicate with your instructors – ask

questions, go to office hours, talk to them if you’re

having problems in and/or outside the class

Know how you learn best Know what doesn’t work for you Set goals & prioritize Ask questions Study with peers Take notes that make sense to you &

go over them right after class Don’t cram!

• Practice active listening• Note taking = focus• Process information as you write it down – it’s only helpful later if it makes sense to you• Listen for important points your instructor will repeat, emphasize and give other verbal cues• Make them logical & legible•Go over them after class to reinforce the material•Get notes from a classmate if you miss a class – don’t be shy about asking them to clarify information
