Survival Activity

Individuals that will stay and survive:

Person: Doctor (Female)

Reason for staying: She will help in treating the other three that get sick. She can help in building up of medical abilities possessed by individuals that will be raised after their survival. The female doctor will also be able to procreate few months before they leave the bunker. There are medical facilities that are not operational and through her acquired skills, she can figure out how to put them to use.

Person: Priest (Male)

Reason for staying: A priest can help take care of the things around them, he can clean the trash of other people because he is humble and open hearted to people around him. Most priest possess more than one degree and the priest in the bunker would probably have other degrees and have some beneficial skills that will help in their survival outside the bunker. He will also help in the building up of religion and be able to make it stable.

Person: University Professor (Female)

Reason for staying: A professor probably, an engineering professor would have knowledge about the landscape and will help in knowing how to raise houses people will live in after they survive in the bunker. She would also possess other degrees in certain field which will help them in their survival outside the bunker. She will be able to procreate and give rise to new offspring’s. There are certain books also in the bunker that she can be able to read to gain new knowledge from.

Person: Scientist (Male)

Reason for staying: A scientist in this case, he is a botanist and he will help in probably providing food for the group after their stay in the bunker because he knows all about plants and how they are grown and cultivated. He will also help in the invention of new things that can be a substitute that can replace what was lost. He will be able to observe and come up with new ideas that can be countered or approved by the doctor since she has s bit of knowledge about science.

Individuals left to die:

Person: married couples who are hippies and drug addicts

Reason for sacrificing: They are drug addicts and can’t do without drugs, when they are let to stay in the bunker, there will be problem because they cannot do without drugs and they might probably misuse every little resource available to them.

Person: a single pregnant woman with a 5year old girl

Reason for sacrificing: They were sacrificed because the woman is pregnant and more will be demanded of a pregnant woman because she’ll be tired most of the time and will require more attention and people staying with her will probably not have time for her and thereby leaving her to herself and her 5 year old girl. The 5 year old will always be noisy and will need more than one person to take care of her. This will be tedious for the group and so, sacrificing them will be the option available for their survival.

Person: an army officer who has mental instability of some sort but is useful nonetheless

Reason for sacrificing: Despite his mental instability, he was able to survive up to that point when it was time to use the bunker, but he is not stable all of the time. He can lose control of himself and probably end up hurting someone in the bunker and if this occurs often, there will be problem in the group. Therefore, sacrificing him will be the option for the good of all.

Person: an elderly woman

Reason for sacrificing: The woman is probably old and will require the help of other individuals for her daily activities. She was able to survive though, but much is not expected from her anymore. No one wants to put up with the stress of taking care of an elderly woman when there are other pressing problems that needs to be attended to. In other words, sacrificing her will be the only option.

Person: A disabled person

Reason for sacrificing: He might be impaired on his arm or one of his eyes or anything, but he still possessed a survival skill. The other people will definitely want a complete person who can attend to any activity without anything hindering them from doing it. After much consideration by the group, the option needed will be to sacrifice him.

Person: Lawyer

Reason for sacrificing: Well, the lawyer was probably sacrificed because he wasn’t necessarily needed at that moment in time. There are just four people that will be in the bunker and saw laws can be made by anyone to just govern four people and as the population increases, more laws will be placed and a new government will rise. A lawyer is not necessarily needed for that kind of job because in the beginning, there were no lawyers and group of people came together to form a government and protect the people.

Person: Lazy Welfare dependent

Reason for sacrificing: He is probably not willing to do anything and will not be forced to do anything. Well he needed to save himself and so he probably has some survival skills which helped him to survive. In general having considered his unwillingness to work, the group of better off without him and will probably be sacrificed for the good and survival of the people.
