    Preparing or university is one o the most important

    things any student has to do. Making sure you have

    the academic and language skills you need to succeed

    will make your transition to university l ie a lot easier.

    The International Study Centre at the University oSurrey teaches you these skills as well as w ays to enjoy

    living and studying in the UK.

    Your frst day at University

    From the day you start your programme at the

    International Study Centre, you are part o the

    University. You will study and learn on the campus,

    and have access to the University acilities such

    as the Library & Learning Centre, Surrey Sports Park

    and Students Union.

    Being an international student means you are part o

    a wide community o dierent nationalities. At the

    International Study Centre we know how to help you

    adjust to your new environment and make the most o

    your time in the UK.

    Supporting you

    Programmes at the International Study Centre

    are taught by specialists in university preparation.

    Your progress will be monitored at all times to make

    sure you remain on track to successully complete

    the programme, while encouraging you to develop

    throughout your time with us.

    University-style teaching

    The International Study Centre introduces you to

    the style o teaching that you will experience on

    your degree. Taking part in tutorials, seminar-style

    classes and larger group lectures means youll be

    well prepared.

    Direct progression to your degree

    Joining the International Study Centre guarantees that

    you will receive a conditional oer o a degree place at

    the University. On successul completion o your course

    and having met the required entry standards, you will

    proceed directly to your university degree programme.

    The International Study Centre is located in the heart

    o the Surrey campus. Close to accommodation and

    acilities you are only 15 minutes rom the Guildord

    train station bringing you straight to central London

    in less than 40 minutes.

    There are three core units common to each route:
