FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Suriname: Land of El Dorado Neuehouse, New York - April 9th, 2014 - Join Pamela Love, Phoebe and Annette Stephens of Anndra Neen and Yelena Noah in a discussion on their travels to Suriname, from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Paramaribo, the former Dutch colonial wooden capital city, to the deepest reaches of the prehistoric rainforest. Over the past two years, these four cutting edge jewelry designers have made several trips to Suriname with Everard Findlay, on small planes, “Korjalens” and many helicopters. Along the way, they meet with indigenous people of the rainforest, Maroon women, and Indonesian artists as well as preservationists to foster a cultural exchange and to celebrate Suriname’s craftsmanship and rich cultural diversity with an international audience.
