SURGICAL SCRUB SKULL CAP SURGICAL SCRUB SKULL CAP Attached is a pattern taken from an actual surgical cap. It is just the crown to be sewn to a piece of fabric 5" x 24". On the five inch sides, clean finish the edge with either a serger or fold and sew small hem. If you sew a small hem, say 1/4", add that amount to the length. Instead of 24" cut it 24-1/2" (1/4" for each side.) If you don't do this the crown piece will be too long. Clean finish edge before sewing crown on. A hint to sew the curve to the straight edge....fold crown in half and mark center. Do this also to 5"x24" to find the center. Match up the center points and the end of the crown. Ease in the rest of half of the crown and then repeat for other side. No seam allowances need to be added as I took apart the cap and traced from the crown piece.
