R.A.G Week 2011I think we can all agree that this years R.A.G Week was a big sucess. We’re all delighted here in the SU on how things went

and we hope you all enjoyed it. Daft Funk got us started on the Sunday night along with Protobaby. The balloon drop so lots of students recieved free drink, tickets and prizes while the BBQ kept you all fed. Monday’s Bungee jump also went down a treat with many of you taking the risk. We were also joined that day by Glanmire Ices who kept our sweet teeth satisfied. The always entertaining silent disco was held on the Monday which showed us all your singing skills. Tuesday’s pool tournement was a big sucess for those of you who managed to get out of bed. Anyone who was out Tuesday night knows exactly how that went down.

After all the moaning and groaning I think credit needs to go to 5ive and Sclub3 for a fantastic show. Ben Martin & Liniage kept the members bar entertained while Enemy Armada rocked room 2. On Wednesday we welcomed Steve Spade to the col-lege as he showed us all his magic tricks. Many of us are still trying to figure out how he pulled some of them off. For those of you who attended the mystery tour “Bravo”. It turned out to be a great night with nobody getting lost or damaged :). To finish the week off we kicked it with Muzzy G & Jazzy Jay along with Bella @ the members bar. Hope you all enjoyed the week :)

ART INTERVARSITY 2011

This is the first year the Art Society (Elaine Lucey, Ger Swanser, Róisín Harty, Lily Madden and Daniel Skorka) represented the IT Tralee at a national competition. They departed Tralee on Saturday the fifth of March to participate in the annual Intervarsity Art Attack challenge, which was held at NUI Galway. There were four rounds in total. Three were held on Saturday and ended

on Sunday with final round. First round involved an Art Attack style collage on the ground, the second round consisted of a mural painting, third was a nude still life sketch and finally they had to create a sculptor with any objects they could find. They

were awarded 1st place as a result, they won a plaque and the chance to hold Art Intervarsity in IT.Tralee next year.
