How is the Champion POD awarded?
We use the State Champion model for a series of events and add an additional Paddle Loop series for inclusion of our beginner paddlers within the PODs.
Paddlers nominate a POD on entering an event, there individual points allocation is then attributed to there nominated POD.
PODs total point scores are ranked in each discipline from highest to lowest for the number of POD’s getting results in a series Down winding/Flatwater/Surf and Paddle Loop. With the winning Pod for the season being the POD with the overall highest placings between all disciplines.
Individual and POD points tally will be updated throughout the season and posted on the SUPWA Web and Facebook pages.
