THE PILOT BEGINS…

The Lynda.com service was launched to staff of Maynooth

University on 22.06.17

Implementation – User Login

In collaboration with HEAnet, participant login was configured via Same Sign-On authentication with MU credentials

Participants were assigned Office 365 playlists that could be viewed on logging in

KNOWLEDGE LEVEL

There has been a significant shift across the board in the

understanding of various Office 365 apps.

Interest in learning about other topics such as Business

Administration and Marketing, File Management, Project

Management, Mac OS training, Microsoft Project, Google App

Script

Survey results confirmed that a blended approach to training

would be preferred over a solely online training solution

I now have a much better understanding of the Office 365 structure and how to get the benefits from each application.

Lynda is a great learning resource and would welcome the roll-out.

So far I have started to comprehend the connection between the different tools and

gain an insight into SharePoint.

I agree, this would be a great educational tool to have on

hand. It is so much easier than having to allocate half days for

training sessions etc. Thank you for piloting it!

Just want to say that I have really enjoyed having access to this and would hope that it is

something the University would consider keeping access to. I have viewed quite a few

topics and would love to have time to explore a bit more!
