PDP- What is it?

• A structured and supported process undertaken by an individual to reflect upon their own learning and performance and/or achievement and to plan for their personal, educational and career development.

• Reflection, Recording, Planning and Action to improve student learning

Policy Intentions To help students Become more effective self-directed learners Articulate their personal goals and evaluate

progress towards their achievement Improve their general skills of study and

career management Encourage a positive attitude to learning

throughout life.

Requirements for Implementation

throughout their programme• Enable learners to create their own learning

1. Embedding PDP into the curriculum - linked to the learning outcomes at programme level

2. Structured support for individual students to aid reflection

3. System to record the outcomes of the PDP process

- Good way of getting me started with my CV and keeping records of achievement

- Being able to access all course information including results and module information

- To get in contact with my lectures is now easy
