View this email in your browser Atlantic football player Marc’Allan Derac dies after dirt-bike crash Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Marc'Allan Derac, a rising senior at Atlantic, who died early morning due to injuries suffered in a dirt-bike accident on April 22, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report. He was 17 years old. Read the Palm Beach Post's story here. Teacher Appreciation Breakfast is The PTSA sponsors a Teacher Appreciation Breakfast every year. A hot catered breakfast will be served to teachers morning. The first 175 teachers will receive a coupon for a free car wash, and we'll be raffling off gift cards as well! Thank you in advance to Daryl Hall, who planned the event, our parent volunteers, and our sponsors Culinary Solutions and Motor City Car Wash! Details below. SAT Deadlines Approaching The last day to register on time for the SAT is May 3rd. Register online www.collegeboard.org The last day to register on time for the ACT is May 4th. Register online at www.actstudent.org Students on free or reduced lunch are eligible for 2 SAT waivers and 2 ACT waivers. You must bring me a copy of your eligibility letter. If you can not find it the cafeteria manager can print you a copy. I am administering 2 IB exams tomorrow. I will only be in my office from Seniors- the June SAT and ACT are the last tests that qualify for bright futures eligibility. Help Beautify the Front Pond and Create a Native Habitat! Thank you to the efforts of our Green Club, Atlantic High was recently named a Green School of Quality by FAU! Next , we will be planting native trees, bushes, and flowers behind the stadium around the front pond and in the planters by the auditorium. Hundreds of plants have been donated through a project with FAU, but we need your help to get them in the ground! Volunteers are needed from and . Be sure to wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Bring sunscreen and a reusable water bottle which can be refilled. Sign up for a shift here. See flyer below.
