Our Speakers

Martin J. Carrara is a transactions and commercial counsel with substantial experience negotiating and drafting complex agreements for a broad range of domestic and international business, commercial, technology and real estate transactions of substantial value, with an emphasis on procurement and supply agreements of virtually every nature. He has signifi-cant experience in leading companies in the pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, financial services, communications, and construction industries. He is currently Senior Corpo-rate Counsel at Pfizer Inc. where he provides legal counsel for the Pfizer Consumer Healthcare (PCH) business, as the lead contracts counsel for PCH across all brands, and as the product attorney providing counsel regarding advertis-ing and promotions for nationally recognized personal care consumer products. Mr. Carrara joined Pharmacia in 1998 where he was the lead counsel for global procurement and real estate. He joined Pfizer in 2003 when Pfizer acquired Pharmacia, serving as lead counsel for global contract manu-facturing and direct procurement, and as counsel for indirect procurement and sales and marketing. He moved to Wyeth in January 2009 and rejoined Pfizer in October 2009 when Pfizer acquired Wyeth. Previously, he was Vice President of Contract Management at Citibank and he held various supply and contract management leadership positions with NYNEX (now Verizon) and L.K. Comstock & Co.

Ansa Yiadom, is an experienced professional in the areas of business operations and operational strategy. Throughout his various positions in the R&D, Manufacturing (Mfg.), and Commercial areas of the pharmaceu-tical industry, he has gained a deep understanding of the key and strategic factors that drive operational success. Ansa has led teams to successfully develop and execute enumerable strate-

gies and plans in the areas of Strategic Sourcing, Procure-ment, Professional Development, Innovation, Six Sigma, and Communications. Currently, Ansa is the Senior Director of Professional Services Procurement at Pfizer. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring that the value Pfizer receives from Consulting, Legal Services, BD Services, Financial Ser-vices, et al. is optimally leveraged. In executing this work, he serves on the Leadership Team (LT) for Pfizer’s internal consulting organization, the Budget Committee for the Legal

Division, et al. Prior to this role, Ansa was the Director of Strategic Initiatives, where he served on the Global Procure-ment LT and was responsible for leading the organization’s operations in the areas of Continuous Improvement, Innova-tion, Communications, and Training, in addition to leading Pfizer’s Supplier Diversity Program.

Qiuping Zhang, is an Executive Finance and Business Consultant pro-viding financial and business operation expertise to global and US Insurance Management Agencies, and helping clients achieve and exceed targeted ex-pense savings goals. Prior to becom-ing an independent consultant, Qiuping worked for Chubb & Son Insurance for over eighteen years within several dif-ferent capacities, including: Controller,

Senior Internal Auditor and Vice President of Finance and Risk Management for Chubb Global Administration. As VP of Finance and Risk Management role, she was accountable for developing and implementing best practice strategies for ongoing supplier credit risk management, and responsible for providing complete financial consulting support to the Global Strategic Sourcing Department. This included: procurement spend/pricing/savings analysis and budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting of the North America regions Ad-ministrative costs. Qiuping currently serves as an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickson University teaching Financial and Managerial Accounting for the MBA program. She is a NJ licensed CPA since 2000, a certified Global Management Accountant since August 2012 and a member of AICPA, NJCPA, IIA and IIAG.

Andrew George is a Global Catego-ry Manager for Teva Pharmaceuticals responsible for procurement support of Teva’s Environmental, Health & Safety function. Over his two years with Teva, Andrew has also served as a Project Manager for procurement initiatives, most notably in support of Teva’s recent acquisition of Actavis Generics. Previously, Andrew held a Supply Chain position at Toys ‘R’

Us. He is also a military veteran having spent five years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He earned a B.S. in Supply Chain Management and a M.A. in Economics both from Rutgers University. Andrew was a recipient of the R. Gene Richter Scholarship in 2012.

Tamra Pawloski is vice president for IT vendor management for software and compliance for Chubb Insured in Warren, New Jersey. She was asked to take a new role and function within the business, ensuring software compliance and proactively managing licenses and vendor relationships. She has been tasked with a departmental road-map, building advocacy and support

from all CIOs and collaborating with vendors and partners on change management related to the recent company acquisi-tion. Establishing audit intake processes, workflows and policies. Tamra also insures that best practices are shared be-tween Chubb’s domestic and international operations. Tamra has been responsible for developing and leading all aspects of global sourcing, commodity management, negotiation and contracting across multiple industries including professional services and technology. Tamra has more than 20 years of ex-perience in team leadership, training, operations, accounting and financial management, program management and more. Prior to joining Chubb, Tamra served as a senior procurement manager at Avaya and director of procurement at Telcordia Technologies. Currently, Tamra serves on the Board of Direc-tors as the President of ISM- NJ, a nonprofit organization.

Liz Rivett is the Spend Optimiza-tion Strategy & Portfolio Manage-ment Lead for Johnson & John-son. In this role Liz is leading the creation of sustainable strategies and solutions for the J&J Enterprise that will enable businesses to make bet-ter choices about how we manage our discretionary spend. Prior roles at J&J include Global Consumer Commercial Strategy and Portfo-

lio Management, and Category Leader for Market Research, Consumer Promotions, Consulting and Contingent Labor. Before joining J&J, Liz held positions in purchasing, logistics, product development and marketing at an Australian-based global consumer sporting goods wholesale company. Liz re-ceived her MBA in Supply Chain Management and Marketing from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and her BA in Biology and Environmental Science from the University of Virginia.
