  • Transportation

All Athletes, Coaches and Officials will arrive at the Bracebridge Sportplex for check in. After arrival, registration and receipt of OWG accreditation packages by the Coaches for their respective Athletes at the Bracebridge Sportsplex, all Athletes and Coaches will be expected to take the buses provided to and from the camp. Please ensure at all times, that a headcount of all Athletes is done by the respective Coach, before bus is given the “go ahead” to depart.

Coaches, who have driven, will need to follow the buses to the camp on Thursday and then back to the Sportsplex on the Sunday morning. Cars will be left at the camp on Friday and Saturday as it is not permitted to leave your cars at the venue for the weekend and supervision of all Athletes on the buses is mandatory at all times. We will make every effort to have the remainder of the Coaches traveling on the buses on Thursday and Sunday split up to share supervision.

Each team must travel together and headcount will be checked onto the buses to make sure we have everyone. Please ensure that you have a team roster with names and emergency contacts available at all times. Buses will be instructed to not leave without the full Team intact. Please make sure you are always on time. The buses will be staggered at both ends from the pool to the camp. Loading buses at the pool will be on a ‘First come First on’ basis. At camp, please follow the chart below and make sure you have the correct teams with you and ensure headcount and right names as we do not want anyone left behind.

  • HELP US SAY THE RIGHT THING!

Throughout the meet we’ll be announcing the names of your Club, your Coaches and your Athletes. Help our announcers get the correct pronunciation first time, every time, so we won’t feel awkward, and you won’t feel annoyed. Give some thought to the names associated with your Clubs, Teams, and Coaches, and if you can give us some clues to the chronically mis-pronounced names, we would much appreciate it. Suggested hints: “sounds like, “rhymes with,” “French pronunciation,” “stress the second syllable.” For example, the name “McKone” could be “Mick as in Jagger, Cone as in Ice Cream,” or “Muck Own.”

When complete, please drop this off at the announcer’s table. Thanks!
