Supplemental materials for the “Ionic Equilibria” course. In the attached pages, you will find excerpts from a book on Microsoft Excel published in 1997. Examples in this book are based on Excel version 7.0. Details of certain procedures (including the dialog boxes) may be different if you use a newer version of Excel. However, the basic principles are still the same or very similar. If you have problems implementing some of the examples from the book, try finding the answers in the Help built into Excel. In any case, it is very important that you familiarize yourself with the procedures described in the materials and work through the examples, so that you can spend your time efficiently when working on the assignments for the course. It is a good idea to work through the examples even if you are familiar with some, or even most of them – after all, practice makes perfect!
