Saturday. Today we travel through theYpres Salient, the scene of some of thebloodiest battles. Beginning at thepreserved trenches of Sanctuary Wood,we stop at the museum beforecontinuing to Tyne Cot Cemetery.Afterwards we move on to the Messines

Ridge sector and the nearby Irish PeaceTower. At Ploegsteert we learn about thecompassion of the Christmas Truce andview the memorial. We have some freetime to dine locally (dinner not included)before the moving Last Post ceremony atthe iconic Menin Gate when a buglersounds a final farewell to the fallen.

Sunday. We travel to Ostend where wehave free time. You may like to visit FortNapoleon, used by German forces astheir headquarters and now a museum.From here, we continue to Zeebrugge forour ferry back to Hull with dinner,entertainment and breakfast on board.
