Math Task Cards

Directions There are twelve cards with superheroes. You can print them on tag for better durability or laminate them.

The word problems have multiplication, division, tables, patterns, addition, and subtraction. Some of the problems are multistep. These questions are worded similar to state assessment exams.

Take the cards and hide them throughout the school, classroom, or other large area. I tape them on the walls in our grade level’s hall.

Have the students take the worksheet on a clipboard and go around looking for the numbers. When they find one of the cards have the students work out that number on the corresponding square on the worksheet. Have the students show their work and write the answer.

You can have the students work in pairs or groups together. An answer sheet is attached.

You can also put the cards in a workstation. You can print them out and put them on a ring.
