Claim up to £3,000 and upgrade to superfast broadband for free

SuperConnected Cities has enabled thousands of businesses to take advantage of superfast internet through a government funded voucher scheme from The Department for Culture & Media, helping businesses in major UK cities upgrade to a faster broadband connection. If eligible, you could use the grant to upgrade an existing connection - or use it towards the cost of a dedicated lease line. Generate new business with a better broadband connection so you can use the internet more, to do more.

What’s available?

Fibre is fast, but because broadband services are dependent on the distance from the local exchange, and with the connection being shared amongst other businesses in the local area, your download speeds can’t be guaranteed.

For digitally-dependent businesses – who rely on a decent broadband connection either for an office or for serviced offices and business parks, we can provide a dedicated internet connection. With speeds of up to 1Gbit/s you don’t have to share your connection with anyone else. Lease line broadband gives you a premium service which does cost a little more to deliver, however you could cover the cost of installation and/or the monthly fees by claiming a voucher through the Superconnected Cities Scheme.

Who can apply for the Connection Voucher Scheme

The Connection Voucher Scheme can only be used by Small to Medium size Enterprises as defined by the European Commission. The same rules apply to charities and not for profit organisations. The 5 eligibility criteria is as follows:

1. You employ less than 249 people or volunteers2. You have a turnover of less than €50 (around £41m) and/or have a balance sheet of less than €43M (around £35.5M)3. You have received less than €200k in public grants in the last 3 years4. You do not operate in sector which is excluded from the Scheme5. You do not have a parent company or linked enterprise which does not meet the eligibility criteria
