Who is CEF?
Our Purpose
Child Evangelism Fellowship is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, disciple them in the Word of God, and establish them in a local church for Christian living.
Our History
CEF was founded by Jesse Irvin Overholtzer in 1937. The ministry has grown into the largest evangelistic outreach to children in the world. CEF has over 2,700 missionaries overseas, approximately 2,000 of whom are nationals. In the USA and Canada, 700 full-time workers and an estimated 40,000 volunteers serve with CEF.
Our Vision
Our ministry vision is to reach Every Child, Every Nation, Every Day. We are currently evangelizing more than 15 million children with a face-to-face Gospel presentation each year. We have ongoing, daily ministry in 190 countries and every state in the U.S. Our goal is to be in every nation of the world by the year 2017.
‘So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish’ (Mathew 18:14)
