GUTTERING

FACTORY

Production Glassfibre is regularly involved in major one-off architectural projects. We’ve airlifted a kilometre of sandstone balustrade to Moscow and erected 12m high orange signs by the Humber.

We recently manufactured and installed a stone

effect cladding system together with a metallic

finish soffit on a 45m diameter wastewater tank in

Tayside for Bechtel-Morrison, a project valued in

excess of £250,000.

Another ‘super project’ was the manufacture and

installation of 5 concrete effect, 10m hoops on

the entrance/exit interchange of the Millennium

Wheel for Bachy Soletache: all within a 12 week

timescale.

With our resource,scale and experience,

Production Glassfibre is uniquely capable of

managing similar projects to agreed timescales,

within budgets, and to an agreed quality.

Glassfibre is also corrosion free, so the twin fundamentals of

versatility and longevity are comprehensively accommodated.

With a multitude of benefits, the number of applications are

equally multi-fold. From a simple collection of timber grain

planters which improved a shopping mall cafe to a set of

9m. high, one piece textured pillars utilised at a multi-storey

car park in Dundee, imagination (and budget!) are the only

limiting factors. Glassfibre is most often used for aesthetic

benefits, yet with the advent of resin carriers such as coremat

and uni or bi-directional wovens, hugely strong structures can

be created. And by amalgamating traditional material such

as timber, steel and

PU foam within the

composite, almost

any engineering load

requirement can be

satisfied. As an example,

such a combination of

materials were skillfully

moulded to create a

8m. diameter dome at a

leisure centre in Lisburn,

and insulated structural

panels at our own

factory in Kirkcaldy.

Glassfibre, or GRP, has been specified by architects for more than forty years now, both as a structural and decorative medium. Manufactured using a laminated moulding process, virtually any shape can be created and any strength or rigidity characteristic can be achieved. And because the visible surface is part of the composite, absolutely any colour can be specified or texture utilised.

Many of the pieces we manufacture are adapted designs which assumed traditional materials would be used. With an ability to replicate sandstone, lead, timber or cast iron in most shades and textures, the additional benefits of light weight, corrosion resistance, freedom from maintenance and product repeatability often make the glassfibre option irresistibly logical.

In the case of pedmints, and cornicing, the additional saving from being able to down-spec the under-workings, increased flexibility in the fixing points, and the likelihood of installing during a single day whatever the weather makes it surprising that some companies still use stone! The same could be said for gables and gondolas.

At the other extreme, when Nicholas Grimshaw and Partners designed a high-tech factory for Igus Plastics in Cologne, the 30 rooflight modules they required were best manufactured in grp and modelled, manufactured and installed by Production Glassfibre. With comprehensive pattern and tool making resources at both our factories, we have the ability to take most ideas from a sketch or a working drawing through to production reality.

DESIGN & BUILD

When an Edinburgh association wanted to improve

the front door entrance of the housing stock in one

development, Production Glassfibre manufactured

a three piece textured surround which was easily

fitted, didn’t require any “wet trade” involvement

and could be manufactured to a very short

time table.

At the other extreme, refurbishment often uses glassfibre as a substitute for traditional materials in order to save cost, minimise programme time and guarantee longevity.

REFURBISHING

When a developer in Yorkshire required

to replace 2000m of window ledging, he

specified a glassfibre profile which was

manufactured in single lengths up to 5.6m

then delivered within four weeks of the order

being placed. When Aberdeen University

had to replace 1500m. of decorative straking

on a 1960’s listed building with an identical

reproduction, Production Glassfibre were

called in to site survey, manufacture and fit

the new pieces.

And when a new town shopping centre

required redevelopment, glassfibre was

again the material of choice for many of

the high profile features.

When repeatability is needed, shapes aren’t straightforward, surface finish, (whether matt or gloss), is important and accuracy is essential, glassfibre is probably the best available material for manufacturing formwork. If the job is of any significant scale or the timetable is particularly challenging, then Production glassfibre is probably the most capable company in the country to partner you in the project.

T h e U K ’ s L a r g e s T g e n e r a L M o U L d e r

With modern factories in Bedfordshire, Lancashire and Fife totalling 12,000sq metres, we are uniquely capable of understanding, advising, undertaking and achieving your delivery, budget and quality criteria. having multiple sites allows us to manufacture as close to your project as possible to ensure both a convenient contact and the most economical distribution costs. greater buying power than any competitor results in our material procurement being the best in the industry and the efficient organising of our labour should ensure that our cost base allows us to be the most competitive option available.

Whether your requirement is for a 14mx5mx1m. concave roof in an edinburgh University lecture theatre which we were able to make in 2 pieces for Balfour Beatty (used twice), or a Bristol car park where we delivered 180 formers of varying sizes used on each of the five floors, we have the capability and knowledge to ensure the timely delivery of product as specified to your site- anywhere in the country.

We have more experience, greater resource and (critically for a major project!) a superior Balance sheet to any other company in the industry, and an attitude to customers which has ensured our continual growth for more than 15 years.

When a standard Cover wont work, Beam & In-Fill is often the best solution. our system is able to span up to 20m, is totally self-supporting, and because it is modular the cover can be fitted directly on to the tank without prior ground assembly. Usually, the entire processcan be carried out without requiringaccess to the tank thus alleviating anyrequirement for draining.

Covers are constructed by fixing an appropriate number of moulded Beams across any shape of tank, then fixingsections to these beams to cover thespecified area. hatches, machineryaccess and other incursions are particularly easily accommodated.

The first armfibre Tank Cover was installed at Procter & gamble plant in Manchester in 1973 and is still performing to specification! With unrivalled design experience and a production capability unmatched in europe, Covers can be supplied in the biggest sizes, to the tightest specification, in the largest volume and within the shortest lead-time most customers could possibly require!

employing 250+ people and operating from modern factories in Bedfordshire, Lancashire and scotland, we are uniquely resourced to provide the highest levels of local service to main contractors, tank manufacturers or civil engineers anywhere in the country. With an experienced design team utilising the most up to date Cad facilities, in-house pattern & mould making capability at all plants, an extensive range of standard products and a full installation service if required, it’s highly likely that an armfibre Tank Cover will be the best option for your project or product. and because we are the UK’s largest general moulder, our purchasing power and production productivity should ensure that our Covers are also the best value in the market.

With its resistance to corrosion, flexibility of design, minimal maintenance requirement and high strength to weight ratio, the headline benefits of glassfibre are well known. By applying our capability and capacity to the materials unique characteristics virtually any tank or trough can be covered- effectively, attractively and economically.

a wide range of accessories are available for incorporation in to our Covers or as stand alone items. hinged and Lockable Manways are made in 4 standard sizes but any other requirement can be accomodated. Viewing hatches, Windows and Fresh air Inlets are also available in various designs and sizes.

The standard range of armfibre Centrally-supported Covers are designed to fit over circular steel or concrete tanks up 30m. in diameter. each cover consists of identical radial segments which are connected to a circular steel ring suspended from a bridge across the tank or supported on a column arrangement.

Covers over 30m. in diameter can also be manufactured by special design.

The standard range ofArmfibre Self-Supporting Covers is designed to fit circular steel or concrete tanks up to 30m. in diameter.

Covers up to 20m. diameter have a pitch of 20 degree and consist of identical, transportable segments which are fixed to each other through external radial flanges andthen bolted to a central ring. Covers over 20m. diameter are also formed in segments, but are of a shell designwhich produces a scalloped dome appearance.

Whatever the size, each segment has an impervious glassfibre (grP) skin, moulded in one piece and reinforced with composite box beams and/or foam filled structural members.

an economical, flat cover is alsoavailable for tanks below 6m.diameter. These have the lower surface moulded, are manufactured in two halves andreinforced with integralcomposite box beams.

One-piece Dormers display many of the benefits of glassfibre in a single product solution. Flexibility of design gives the architect scope in scale and detail, lack of weight helps the structural engineer and delivery of a ready to fit unit aids the construction manager.

Glassfibre has none of the maintenance problems resulting from the use of timber, the costs with real slate or complication of applying lead.

Instead we can take your design and deliver the unit ready for lifting on to the roof and fixing by the site joiner. Typically we can complete a project from design sign-off to first delivery in 8-10 weeks, including the manufacture ofdedicated tooling.

In order to continually improve, a good company will keep investing. Investing in capacity, investing in capability and investing in competence.

Production glassfibre has won its place at the head of the industry by ensuring that our facilities are better than any competitor and that our ability to offer a total supply package is unmatched.

The factory in Fife extends to 6,000 sqm. and was opened in 1997, whilst the 3,000 sqm. facility in Lancashire was built in 2001. our newest unit, in Bedfordshire, is again 3,000 sqm. and was opened in 2007. all factories are properly heated and extracted, all have sufficient yard space, all have appropriate staff facilities and all are less than 1 mile from a major road network. none of them is our first factory in the area; continual growth has made sure we keep moving, and work is presently going on to add another 2,000 sqm. to our capacity.

They each offer a comprehensive range of services, have their own distribution and a capable management team. Between them we employ 250+ personnel, making us not only the leading but also the largest glassfibre moulding company in the country.

DISTRIBUTIONWith a fleet of vehicles ranging from small vans to 40 ft. trailers, supplemented by a network of frequently used contractors, Production glassfibre can distribute throughout the UK on a regular and programmed basis. no matter how good the product, we understand there’s no point if it doesn’t turn up when promised.

INSTALLATIONIn order to provide a complete service package, if our Customer requires, we can also provide a full installation service. This can range from fixing lids on sewage tanks to craning and attaching the hoops on the Millennium Wheel. Using experienced riggers and qualified operators the same level of service demanded in the factory is assured on site.

PHENOLICPhenolic products satisfy a particular requirement and require a particular working method. our phenolic oven can accommodate parts up to 3x2.5m. and run at a sustained temperatures of 80 degrees (160 max.). selected employees have been specially trained to work with the material and are competent to mould, assemble and finish final products.

DEVELOPMENTProduction glassfibre has a dedicated development shop where we can investigate new processes or materials and work on longer-term projects. Fully fitted out with pattern making equipment, particularly well lit, and secure from the rest of the factory, this is where projects such as the Lotus hardtop and Coram track car were created.

MOULD STORAGEevery glassfibre companies problem area! at Production glassfibre we endeavour to rack and store on a hard surface, with a remote facility for larger and less used moulds.

TRIMMINGhere’s where most companies let themselves down. all factories have proper trimming bays, (3 in Fife, 2 in Lancashire, 1 in Bedfordshire), fully enclosed and with forced air extraction to ensure dust is kept where it should be.

FINISHING as our customers require higher and higher standards, so more and more attention is given to the resource and facilities devoted to the final finish of the product. a well lit, well extracted and substantial footprint is devoted to this critical area in the manufacturing process at both factories.

CURING OVENsometimes the standard demanded is so critical that a moulding will require post-curing as part of the process. In this way any trapped air or micro shrinkage can be highlighted and resolved before painting. The largest oven can accommodate parts up to 3x4m.

PAINT SPRAYIn order to provide a complete service to our customers, we have a fully functioning paint spraying facility in Fife, able to accommodate anything up to a full sized car. With well qualified personal; prepping, mixing, spraying and curing facilities, we are able to deliver a ready-to-fit part to automotive and industrial customers.

ASSEMBLYLean manufacturing often requires fully built-up sub assemblies from suppliers. That’s why you’ll find us fitting wiper motors and heater units as well as hinges, plates, brackets and bigheads. Parts can either be free issued by our customers, or sourced by Production glassfibre.

TECHNICAL DESIGNWorking with autoCad and solid edge software we are able to convert your design to working drawings, and when necessary have engineering calcs carried out and certified. We are also happy to advise our customers on how best to design glassfibre products.

PATTERN MAKINGno matter how complex or complicated, our team of pattern makers will be able to turn your drawings (or even sketches) in to a full size ‘plug’ or ‘master’. With a well equipped shop and a huge amount of experience we have created patterns for everything from simple sewage plant lids to sophisticated double-decker staircases. and if you have the files, we have the experience, expertise and equipment access to utilise full 5-axis facilities.

MOULD MAKINGWithout a good mould (or tool) product quality will suffer and life span will be compromised. Production glassfibre follows a unique methodology to ensure that our moulds last longer. We are also capable of ‘splitting’ in a way few other companies can match, allowing your designers to use more intricate shapes than they thought possible.

HAND LAMINATEFor many products, hand laminating is often the best or only option, in particular larger, low volume or one off items. all factories have well ventilated, well lit areas set out for this purpose.

SPRAY LAMINATEThe larger part of our manufacturing is by spray deposition of the resin and glass by means of air powered ‘chopper’ guns. at present, the Fife factory has 5 of these and 2 gel guns, Lancashire has 3 ‘choppers’ and 1 gel gun, whilst at Bedfordshire as well as 2 ‘choppers’ we also have 2 forced rollers. all factories have exceptional extraction systems.

Glass Reinforced Polyester (or glassfibre) is amongst the most versatile materials available for use in manufacturing, construction, horticultural, leisure or processing industries. Seven times stronger than steel of an equivalent weight, resistant to corrosion and suitable for a one-off or production line application, it has found a purpose everywhere from boats to buses, acid tanks to abattoirs, fish farms to flower planters, and in a thousand other places.

T h E U K ’ S L a R G E S T G E n E R a L M o U L d E R

INDUSTRIAL

There’s a huge category of industrial, comercial and engineering products for which glassfibre is the only sensible manufacturing material.

Low tooling costs and extreme corrosion resistance make it perfect for sub-sea oil well head protectors. Flexability of form and finish ensures its the only sensible material to build high-spec, machinery covers, stealth telecom towers, fish farm tanks or phenolic ‘curtains’ for a cruise ship.

PROJECTS

Most years, Production Glassfibre would be involved in one-off projects which are significant for some reason or other.

Simulator seats for the BT Exhibition at the Millennium dome for example, or a kilometre of sandstone balustrading which was air freighted to Moscow!one of our recent projects was the manufacture and installation of five 10m. wide ‘hoops’ on the aqueduct leading to the revolutionary Wheel which transfers boats on the Forth and Clyde canal. no challenge is too complex, no project too big and no opportunity too far away!

VEHICLE PARTSaround half of all the buses built in Britain have parts in or on them manufactured by Production Glassfibre.

From one piece staircases in double-deckers to the backs and fronts of singles, glassfibre is the ideal material to accommodate the aesthetic, structural and cost criteria of modern design disciplines. at the other extreme, we can build tooling and bodywork direct from Cad as with the blue track-day car or develope sophisticated product solutions such as the gullwing roofs on the Lotus Elise. Trucks, Crew-Cabs, hearses, ambulances and Recovery Vehicles fit somewhere in between!

Glassfibre is found in a surprising number of places along the high Street or in the Shopping Mall.

Mock lifeboats at the Trafford Park Centre are one example, but more commonly the material was the perfect choice to create a uniform brand identity surrounding aTM’s at the Royal Bank of Scotland group- or the simple drip trays at the bottom of nearly every retail freezer cabinet!

and when nCR wanted there own Stand-alone Cash dispenser they chose Production Glassfibre to develop and manufacture a unit which has approval for use in the heat of Egypt and the cold of Russia. another example of the versatility available in design and finish is the ‘granite’ topped Pod coffee station found in many an exhibition centre, airport lounge and conference room.

RETAIL

ARCHITECTURE HOUSINGS

Glassfibre (or GRP) has been specified by enlightened architects for more than forty years now, in both structural and decorative applications and in a huge variety of situations.

Manufactured by a laminated moulding process, virtually any shape can be created, any strength achieved, any colour specified or any texture replicated. Glassfibre is also corrosion resistant, so the twin fundamentals of versatility and longevity are comprehensively accommodated. With a multitude of benefits, the number of applications are equally multi-fold.

Sandstone pediments and panels, domes of any diameter, matching columns and canopies, lead effect gables and gondolas; all are possible and all have been manufactured by Production Glassfibre. We’ve circled entire retail parks with parapets, surrounded 45m. diameter tanks with soffits and covered dozens of entrances with canopies. and when the famous nicholas Grimshaw Partnership wanted to create a series of unique roof-lights for a high-tech factory in Cologne, glassfibre was the best possible material and Production Glassfibre the most obvious moulder!

The wide range of styles available should accommodate any aesthetic and size requirement, and being made of glassfibre, any colour may be specified or corporate identity replicated.

The housings can be single skin or fully insulated units, and many options of internal fittings and electrical equipment are available to accommodate specific customer requirements. The housings are corrosion resistant, require no maintenance, and compared to steel equivalents are lightweight and easily transportable. The fire resistance rating of the standard products meet BS476 Part 7 Class2, and higher specifications are available.

Every utility company needs them and every civil engineering or building contractor uses them, so Production Glassfibre, the country’s largest general GRP moulders, have designed three ranges of housings to suit most applications.

SIGNAGE

Light weight for ease of installation, wear resistant for a longer life and flexible enough to accommodate the most bizarre design, a whole new world is opened up, constrained only by budget and imagination.

From 6m. high illuminated letters to a simple 60x60 backing board framing vinyl graphics, glassfibre is often the most suitable material available to the sign maker.

WATER TREATMENT

Following the acquisition of armfibre Ltd, Production Glassfibre is by some margin the largest supplier of Covers, Channels, CST’s and Cladding to the water treatment sector. We have a standard range of Circular Covers spanning up to 30m, experience of managing single bespoke projects up to £4m, and relationships with most major UK contractors.

With an experienced design team, pattern & mould making capability, and a full installation service it’s highly likely we will have the best solution for any water treatment project.

HOUSE BUILDINGFrom a range of standard over-door Canopies to unique, single-piece, bolt-on Balconies, Production Glassfibre is one of very few companies able to offer national delivery, consistent manufacturing quality and if needed a bespoke service.

dormers, door surrounds and dutch Gables are every day products; Porch Roofs for Social house refurbs and Pediments for luxury apartment developments have been supplied throughout the country.

When repeatability is needed, shapes aren’t straightforward, surface finish is important and accuracy is essential, glassfibre is the best available material for manufacturing formwork.

Manufactured to the exact design requirement and compatible with proprietary formwork systems, our formers have been used in car parks, office blocks, student accommodation, lecture theatres, bridge piers and governmental buildings.

DOORS ~ WINDOWS HOUSE BUILDING

Glassfibre is among the most versatile materials available to the modern house builder. From simple cills to sophisticated soffits, the benefits of low weight, high strength, corrosion resistance and flexible finish can be used to save money, cut time and improve appearance. Some products are designed to replicate traditional materials such as slate, lead and timber whilst others offer the clean clinical finish of a smooth single colour surface.

The manufacturing process involves the lamination of different glassfibre matting, resin, curing agent and colouring components in order to achieve the desired characteristics. The end product takes its form from the mould in which the composite is created.

Production Glassfibre is a specialist company in the industry, employing the most capable of trained staff, and possessing the technical knowledge to make best use of the material in a multitude of products for a variety of industries. Operating from factories of 2,700, 3,000 and 5,000 sq.m, our 250+ employees make us the largest general moulder by far in the UK. All factories have pattern and mould making facilities and each is capable of turning customer sketches to delivered products.

We supply parts to bus and truck manufacturers, water and sewage infrastructure contractors, major civil and architectural projects, and of course house builders from Dundee to Dublin. This leaflet illustrates a few of the products we have supplied to that sector; we would be delighted to discuss these or any other ideas with you.

The Production Glassfibre Flexi Housing

system is designed to eliminate most size

constraints whilst still allowing the

construction of a lightweight, maintenance

free, structurally sound building for an

infinite variety of uses. Where access is a

problem, or size prohibits transport, the unit

can be assembled on site and still provide a

wind and weather tight structure, which

looks pleasing and lasts a lifetime.

The Production Glassfibre Multi Housing

units are designed to be the most

aesthetically pleasing building available,

looking positively attractive and more than

acceptable in even the most high profile

location. Intended for a huge variety of

uses, two standard sizes are available, but

the modular construction method allows

panels to be added up to any length within

the standard widths. The contoured design

also lends itself to dual colouring, and the bottom half can be

sprayed with Crystic Fireguard for use in particularly vandal

vulnerable areas.

Again available with single skin or insulated walls, windows,

vents, hatches, heaters, cable trays, shelves, lighting etc. can all

be added to suit individual specifications, and any BS or RAL

colour may be specified. Where looks matter, the Multi will be

the obvious choice.

Even on a taditional brick built building, a glassfibre roof is

often the most economical and practical solution. Factory built

in a single piece or in as few sections as possible, custom sized

to exactly fit your building, sloped as best suit your design and

‘erected’ in only a couple of hours, we have supplied units for

both new and refurbished housings.

FLEXI HOUSINGS MULTI HOUSINGS

The wide range of styles available should

accommodate any aesthetic and size

requirement, and being made in glassfibre, any

colour may be specified or any corporate identity

replicated. The housings can be single skin or

fully insulated units, and many options of

internal fittings and electrical equipment are

available to accommodate specific customer

requirements.

The housings are corrosion resistant, require no

maintenance, and compared to steel equivalents,

are lightweight and easily transportable. The fire resistance

rating of the standard products meets BS476 Part 7 Class

2, and higher specifications are available.

Our Mini, Flexi and Multi systems

cover most applications, but should

another style or size be required,

Production Glassfibre can design

and manufacture custom units to

meet your unique specifications.

With CAD capability and a

comprehensively equipped pattern

making shop in both factories, turn

around time will probably be

quicker than anticipated, and the

quality will be at least as good as

our standard units.

armfibre launder channels provide a cost affective, easy to install alternative to steel and concrete channels. several designs are possible including ‘Z’ shaped launders bolted directly to the walls of steel tanks or traditional ‘U’ shaped supported by steel brackets and double weir launders for higher flow rates.

Launder channels must be designed to resist the upthrust generated by tank filling and normal running conditions as well as supporting the weight of maintenance personnel. The loads can cause bending and twisting of the launder section but armfibre launders are designed to ensure stresses and deflections are kept within acceptable limits. straight and custom design channels are also available.

armfibre glassfibre products have been a mainstay of the Water Treatment industry for more than 25 years. With unrivalled design experience and a production capability now unmatched in europe, our settlement Tanks, Weir Plates, scumboards diffusion drums and Launder Channels can be found in WT plants the length and breadth of the country.

Employing 250+ people and operating from modern factories in Bedfordshire, Lancashire and scotland, we are uniquely resourced to provide the highest levels of local service to water sector contractors anywhere in the United Kingdom. With an experienced design team utilising the most up to date Cad facilities, in-house pattern & mould making capability at all plants, an extensive range of standard products and a full installation service if required, it’s highly likely that an armfibre product will be the best option for your project. and because we are the UK’s largest glassfibre moulder, our purchasing power and production productivity should ensure that we are also offering the best value in the market.

With its resistance to corrosion, flexibility of design, minimal maintenance requirement and high strength to weight ratio, the headline benefits of glassfibre are well known. By applying our capability and capacity to the materials unique characteristics, water treatment solutions can usually be found to satisfy design, project and value engineering requirements.

From a customised Instrumentation Box to a fully flexible, full height, fully insulated Machinery enclosure, Production glassfibre has the most extensive range of housings available to the water treatment industry. available in single or double skin with a moulded external finish in any chosen colour, these housings can accommodate any variety of doors, windows, vents and hatches

V-notch Weir Plates are manufactured from 2m. long press moulded grP sheets to give a dense, void free product with a smooth surface on both sides. Trimming, slotting and cutting is carried out by a CnC process to ensure clean and dimensionally accurate products. The plates incorporate an internal joggle to obviate the need for lap plates, and all fixing is by 50mm slots to give +/- 25mm adjustment.

Flow rates through the notches are calculated using Bs6380, and as a guide, flow through a single 90˚ notch (25mm head) is approximately 0.15 l/s.

The use of upward flow ConicalTanks is well established on sewage treatment works for both primary and secondary settlement.

The major benefit of using armfibre tanks over conventional reinforced concrete structures is the ease and speed of site construction. Usually, the tanks can be assembled, placed in a prepared excavation and backfilled with concrete all withina single week. Further savings then accrue from our ability to factory fit all accessories including inlet and outlet pipe connections. Thereafter, the material characteristics of glassfibre will ensureits longevity and structural reliability.

Operationally, the inert, smooth internal surface of the tank slopes to the bottom at 60 degrees allowing sludge to be readily collected for removal by whatever system is employed. and unlike rectangular pyramidical tanks, there are no internal corners to trap pockets of sludge.

developed to overcome the shortcomings of conventional flat scumboards, the curved design creates a smooth regular surface which doesn’tdistort when in contact with the skimmer blade. The profile means that it is extremely rigid and therefore requires only a single support bracket per board for quick and economical installation.

Design& Specificationall sizes of tank use a commonone-piece cone which is heavilyreinforced to form a solidplatform on to which additionalconical and/or sidewall sectionsare assembled. all joints areexternally flanged and bolted;internal sealing is by highly resilient polymer. s/s fixings and washers are used through-out.

all tanks incorporate an integralperipheral launder channel witha suitable outlet, allowing thefull surface area of the tank tobe used for treatment. V-notchweir plates fixed to the sidewallform the internal wall of thelaunder.

Twin galvanised mild steelchannels are supplied, used tosupport the central diffusion drumand pipework. They can also beutilised to form a pedestrian accessbridge.

armfibre diffusion drums are available in diameters up to 10m. depth can be varied in increments of 250mm, with deeper units being made up of multiple tiers, bolted together. The top flange of the drum is stiffened to allow bolting to the support structure, with additional ribs incorporated when required. scum doors and baffles can be added.
