Preparation: prepare a clean base to place the sunshade on Tool: pin spanner 6-point 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm Spanner with adjustable spanner length 1. Replacing the gear / car cord

1.1. Dismount Proceed as follows with the upright or lying sunshade:

• Remove the screws on the pole shaft and remove the pole from the turning foot

1.2. Gear change • Unscrew gearbox, remove 2 countersink screws M5 x 30

• Hold and pull out the axis on the hexagonal nut

• In order to remove the upper link, countersink screw M6 x12 must be released and removed from the masthead.

• Pull out the masthead. Subsequently, take out the gear and insert the new gear accordingly.

In order to open the car (due to the cord guide), proceed as follows:

• Remove the upper half of the car (at the side of the female screw) • Lay the sunshade down so that all screws on the car can be released from below

with the pin spanner. Important: do not pull out the screws!

1.3. Replacing the transmission part • Undo the knot in the cord, tie a knot in the new transmission part and insert it. The

cord must be in the pole rabbet.

1.4. Assembly • Lay the sunshade down so that the crank is underneath so that all screws of the

slide can be tightened from below with the pin spanner. • Carefully replace the upper half of the slide and screw it on from below. • Make sure that the cord does not get jammed in. • Put the crank in place and turn it, while the other end of the cord is also pulled at. • The cord must move in accordance with the direction of turning. • No clicking sound should be heard. • If the cranking is continued when the cord is fully unravelled, the cord coils itself up

again.

1.5. Final check

• After a successful function check, completely roll out the cord. • Place the sunshade on the base again. • Reassemble the gear, axis and gearbox, analogous to the previous step. 2. Replacing the support shaft cord

Preparation: prepare a clean base to place the sunshade on Tool: pin spanner 6-point 4 mm, 6 mm Spanner with adjustable spanner length

2.1. Dismount

Proceed as follows with the upright or lying sunshade:

• Unscrew the support shaft cord buckle from the foot of the mast and tie a knot in the new cord.

• Remove the screws at the foot of the mast and lift and lift the mast off the rotary base

• Lay the sunshade down and position it so that the crank is on top • Release the support shaft head screws, remove the top half and remove the screen

Make a knot in the shape of an 8 and pull it tight

2.2. Inserting a new support shaft cord into the car

• Lay down the sunshade so that all screws of the car can be released from below with the pin spanner. Important: do not pull out the screws!

• Put the sunshade back on the base. • Remove the top half of the car (at the side of the female screw). • Place a new cord (from the support shaft cord buckle) around the snatch blocks of

the car and push it through the support shaft pipe. Use a passage aid (e.g. a wire) or

lift up the mast at the bottom so that it is standing slightly diagonally and so that the cord can be conducted more easily.

• Pull out the tope at the support shaft head conduct it over the snatch block

• Carefully replace the top half of the car and screw it on using female screws – warning: do not jam the cord!

• Carefully replace the top support shaft bowl and screw it on using the female screws.

2.3. Correct adjustment of the support shaft cord

To ensure that the fabric and the rope are well stretched, the distance between the pole head and the car must be as follows: 350x350cm & 400cm -> 49cm 300x300cm & 350cm -> 47.5 - 48cm

3. Replacing the screen, canopy or inner shaft

3.1. Dismounting the screen • Remove the hexagonal nut, hold the framework and pull out the

cylinder cross bolt • At the top, remove 2 countersink screws • Remove material fastening screws and remove the material from the framework

3.2. Replacing the inner shaft

• Remove 3 screws at the top notch and pull out the inside rod. Warning: establish whether the new inside rod is for a round screen or an angled one.

3.3. Exchanging the coat

• Mount new coat and screw on the corner eyes with rib ends • Screw on the top disc again

Warning: the top disc must lie directly on the level surface of the screen top notch so that the so that the screen does not sway when the sunshade is open.

3.4. Mounting the screen with new canopy below the support shaft head • Conduct the cord further through the inside rod

Use a passage aid (wire or previous cord)

• Turn the plastic screw cover out of the screen runner • Conduct the new cord through runner and spring

• Conduct the end of the new cord into the hole of the shackle and wrap the shackle with the cord 2x. Put the cord, spring and clip in the runner and replace the screw cover

4. Replacing the ribs Tool: small and medium cross recess screw driver Can be carried out on a closed or upright sunshade or placed on a clean base.

1. Remove the cross recess screws at the corner fastenings of the material from each defect rib and at each rib left and right of each rib affected • Stave off the material and uncover the framework/screen

2. Unscrew the screws of the top notch to the extent that defective ribs can be

released • Attach the replacement rib in top notch • Screw the top notch together again

3. Undo the screws of the runner to the extent that defective ribs can be pulled out of the slider • Attach replacement ribs in runner • Screw runner together again

4. Reinsert cross recess screws into corner fastenings of the material

Note on 2. + 3. A mounting aid was used here > mounting plate with standpipe and wooden holder (see 7.1). In each of the places where screws are to be undone (top notch and runner), this is found below on the standpipe. Thus, the framework is turned upside down in step 2.

5. Replacing the locking clip Remove the dowel by Ø 5 x 57mm with a drift. Insert a new clip and install the dowel.

6. Replacing hand grip Release the locking clip from the pole. The hand grip is attached to the steering link with two blind rivets.

The rivets must be drilled out with a drill.

After drilling out the rivets, the old hand grip can be pulled out.

7. Replacing the steering link • First, the screen needs to be dismounted ( see chapter 3.1 ) • Subsequently, the two screws of the tilting rod are removed

• Further, the 3 screws at the plastic part are undone and removed

1. Pull the cord out of the support shaft and install a new tilting rod 2. If the holes of the tilting rod screws are enlarged, the linkage must be completely

replaced (see image 3). In this case, the thread is worn and only new screws would not hold.

8. Replacing the crown / runner (2 people required)

8.1. Preparation for replacing the runner

Preparation; put the wooden holder in the standpipe and remove runner cover. Turn the framework upside down so that the runner is underneath and can be put on the wooden holder. Place aluminium pipe between top notch and runner so that the framework stays open. Preparation; see point 3.1 Dismounting the screen (1 person). Tools; cordless screwdriver, screwdriver Mounting aid > steel socket with standpipe and wooden holder

Wooden holder Is available on request from us for a charge. However, can also be self-made. Requirement; must fit into the standpipe and on the opposite side into the hole of the slider.

8.2. Preparation for replacing the top notch

Preparation; turn framework completely upside down and place upside down on the wooden holder so that at the top notch the screws are exposed at the top. Position the aluminium pipe between the top notch and the runner so that the framework stays open.

Aluminium pipe from an aluminium understaff, shortened to an appropriate length Serves as a holder for the framework. It is put between the crown and the slider so that the framework stays open. Can be self-made or can be obtained from us on request for a charge.

8.3. Dismounting the top notch / runner:

Undo all screws on the top notch / runner with the cordless screwdriver. Top notch or runner must be facing downwards in order to undo the screws.

Separate the top notch / runner halves (upper and lower halves) with the screwdriver.

• Unhook all ribs • Remove old top notch/runner halves and insert new ones • Hook on all ribs again and position them correctly • Install the upper top notch/runner halves appropriately with the screws and fasten

them on the lower half (fasten screws with drill) IMPORTANT: top notch/runner halves must fit each other exactly, without gaps and displacements!

9. Closing the sunshade Close the sunshade: turn the crank with one hand and conduct the slide downwards with the other (closing and retracting movements take place simultaneously).

It is essential to close the sunshade with both hands in order to ensure that the cord is conducted optimally.
