Sunglasses Case

These cases are easy to make and are a fun addition to your bachelorette box—especially if your party weekend is in a sunny locale.

What you'll need• Sunglasses case template and

printout of wrapper• Straight pins • 1 felt square • 8-in. length of ⅛-in.-wide elastic• Scissors• Sewing machine and thread to match

felt square• Double-stick tape

How to make it1. Pin template to felt square and cut out.

2. Lay the length of elastic flat across the felt where indicated by the notched lines on the sides of the template (the elastic should extend a little past the felt). Pin in place.

3. Fold felt where indicated by template and pin in place. With sewing machine and matching thread and using a ¼-inch seam allowance, sew along the sides of the felt where indicated. See Diagram 1. Use a small running stitch to make sure the elastic is secured. If desired, add a row of running stitches along the top curved flap of the felt for decoration.

4. Trim off extra bits of elastic and ends of thread. Then flip the felt case inside out. Place a pair of sunglasses inside, fold over the top flap, and slip it underneath the elastic band.

5. Cut out sunglasses wrapper and attach around case with double-stick tape.
