SUNDAYS IN JULY 9:00 Chapel Worship 10:00 Sunday School 11:00 Sanctuary Worship
The deacons and ministerial staff have recommended that we run a trial change in our Sunday
schedule for the month of July. With the acknowledgement that many of our Sunday School classes do not get started until 10:00 anyway, we want to give it a try as a starting time (in the hopes that
people will not wait until 10:15 to arrive). One benefit this will provide is that of enabling our Chapel Worship service to begin at 9:00 instead of 8:45, which means our worship leaders will not have to
arrive until 8:00 instead of 7:45 to rehearse and prepare. Every attempt will be made to complete our Chapel Worship no later than 9:50. Those who do not attend Chapel Worship will not need to be at
church until 10:00. Around mid-July we will get feedback from Sunday School teachers as to how this is working in order to see if we want to continue with this schedule. Your openness to this trial
is greatly appreciated. We only want to make changes that enhance our worship and Bible Study ministries for our community.

Youth News:
This July is scheduled to be a very busy and exciting month. On July 2nd we will be heading up to North Carolina to go on a youth rafting trip.
The following Sunday the YMT commissioning service will take place, and the Tuesday and Wednesday of that week we will be packing, loading, and making final preparations for the trip. On Thursday, July 7th, the advanced crew will be leaving to prepare the camp site for the week ahead. The rest of the mission trip crew will leave on Saturday July 9th.
We will come back from mission trip on Saturday, July 16th. On Sunday there will be a YMT report service at 5:00 P.M. where we will talk about all the thing we accomplished during this years mission trip.
All the donations that we have received for mission trip so far have been greatly appreciated. This trip would not be possible without your prayers and generosity.
Take care, comb your hair, Brad Rutledge Summer Youth Intern
Children’s Ministry News:
It’s hard to believe that the summer is already halfway over! We still have two exciting events for
children and preschoolers. On Friday, July 8 at 5:30, we will have a Movie Night for completed
1st-6th graders. There will be free pizza, activities, and we’ll watch The Lego Movie.
Please sign up by Wednesday, July 6th.
On Saturday, July 23 at 9:00-12:00, the preschoolers will have a Pajama Party!
All children ages 3 – completed Kindergarten are invited to come wearing their pajamas.
Please sign up by Wednesday, July 20th. A minimum of 5 children are needed for each event.
Starting Sunday, June 26 – July 31, our 1 st – 6th graders will learn Bible stories with Legos in Sunday School! All 1st-6th graders will meet in the 1st-3rd grade S.S. room. Check out their Lego creations on
display in the Welcome Center each week.
We always have opportunities for you to serve in our preschool and children’s ministries. I’m not sure who benefits more – the children or those who work
with them! If you are interested in serving for an event or an ongoing class, please let me know!
Kim Mason Minister to Children
Note from Allison:
Thank you so much for your kind words, condolences, and cards after my miscarriage last
month. I am truly blessed to serve a congregation as caring and loving as you all are!
