Long-time youth coach juggled his small business while managing the Warriors to a 20-6 record and a 3A state title — the school’s first softball state championship — with a starting lineup featuring two sophomores and three freshmen. Fordham signee went 18-1 with a 0.45 ERA despite pitching with an injured thumb. Gatorade Maryland player of the year recorded 241 strikeouts and helped herself by hitting .416, scoring 30 runs and posting an on-base percentage of .984.
