As an alternative to VBS, Zion ECC, St. John's & Calvary are going to increase our promotion of already scheduled local church activities & create an
updated format. This is going to be called Church Street Connection. We will kick off the summer by inviting the local community to our Annual Ecumenical Worship & Church Picnic (Sunday, June 23rd @ the Mohnton Playground), followed by fun activities hosted & run by the local churches & ministries.
In order for Calvary to do OUR part in the Church St. Connection, willing hands and hearts are needed! If you love to talk with others & meet new people, sign up to run a table or activity.

THANK YOU to all who have already donated food item for the Calvary Care Summer Day Camp Lunches. We had 3 children for the first week and will be adding a family of 3 hopefully week 2. That’s 315 lunches over 11 weeks!! Each lunch consists of a sandwich (ham, turkey, chicken with cheese), Lunchables, or Uncrustables – a juice pouch, fruit cup, and a snack (pudding, cookies, pretzels, popcorn, etc). We are hoping for the following additional donations from the congregation:
• Juice pouches – reduced sugar or 100% juice – 187 • Fruit cups – reduced or sugarless – 235 • Snacks – 145
And of course, we are happy to take monetary donations to purchase the sandwich fixings/Uncrustable items. Just mark your check for Summer Lunches in the memo section. Lastly, when you make a donation of food items, PLEASE check the expiration date to make sure it is past September 2019! Again THANK YOU for helping feed children from low income families who are enrolled in our Calvary Care Summer Day Camp!
