Matrimony: Registered parishioners who wish to be married at St. Ambrose, or to be prepared for marriage in another parish, must, by diocesan policy, begin the required preparation at least six months prior to the proposed date for their marriage. Contact the parish Office for an appointment.
Returning to the Church: If you are Catholic and returning to the sacraments, or to the practice of the faith, we welcome you back! If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact a priest at the parish office or after Sunday Mass. We are happy to help you come back home to the Catholic Church.
Initiation of Adults and Children: The Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) is a process by which a person becomes initiated into the full sacramental life of the Catholic Church through weekly instruction. If you or someone you know would like to inquire about the life of Jesus Christ and the beliefs & teachings of His Church, please contact Mrs. Nicole Filipowski in the Office of Religious Education.
Sick Calls: Contact the parish office to schedule visits to the sick/homebound, for the Sacraments of Penance, the Eucharist & the Anointing of the Sick.

ST. AMBROSE SCHOOL NEWS
MISSION STATEMENT "Fostering a faith-filled and academically strong
environment, Saint Ambrose Catholic School works with families and the faith community to encourage
the formation of the whole child through the examples and teachings of Jesus Christ."
Each year our school recognizes the contributions of parents or adults in the community. This year the follow-ing awards were given: The Thelma Johnson Award for selfless devotion to our school and parish is awarded to a long time parishioner and school volunteer. Barbara Huvane is the recipient of this award. Thank you, Mrs. Huvane for your example of humility. Your devotion and love of St. Ambrose Catho-lic School is an inspiration to our community. The Harold Devine Award for the spirit of service and generous giving to our community was presented to Mary Helou. Thank you, Mary for your tireless energy and “can do” attitude in support of the children and teachers of St. Ambrose Catholic School. Mary’s PTO leadership and guidance is valued and cherished by the teachers and members of the staff. The Principal’s Award for Innovation is handed out to the individuals who have introduced new ideas that bring life to our school community. Cathy Seangio and Peter Cuenco are the recipients of this award. We are grateful for the time, effort, and sacrifice that Cathy and Peter poured into the Gala and the Fall Fun Run. Thank you for your commitment and allegiance to St. Ambrose Catholic School. In addition, some 8th graders were given special awards. The Father Pilon Leadership Award was named for the school’s founding pastor. It is given each year to a student who shows initiative, independence, responsibil-ity, and management of activities and effectiveness as a teamleader. This year the award was presented to Dara Kearney. The Judith Lesniak Christian Witness Award is named in memory of the school’s first principal. It is given to a student, by the Knights of Columbus, for exemplary behavior and service to others, thereby giving witness to Jesus Christ. This year the award was presented to Elizabeth Krueger. The Janet O’Hagan Bushman Award is named for a long-time parishioner and grandmother to St. Ambrose students who died in the fall of 2013. This award is given to a graduating 8th grade student who uses their gifts and talents to the best of their ability, for the good of the community. This year the award was presented to Emma Campbell.
An Act of Spiritual Communion My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen. https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/devotions/act-of-spiritual-communion-339
Many thanks to those who are either mailing in or dropping off their weekly offertory to St. Ambrose Church or are

These are uncertain times with the Coronavirus Pandemic changing our lives in ways we never thought possible. There has been an upsurge of abortions seen in some places because of this and prayers for the unborn are needed now more than ever.
A Prayer for an End to Abortion Heavenly Father, Spare our nation from the scourge of abortion. Protect the lives of children in the womb. Give hope and strength to their mothers. Stir love in the hearts of fathers to support and cherish mother and child. Cause our elected leaders and the courts to recognize and protect the personhood of unborn children. Lift up church leaders to proclaim a Culture of Life. Lead parents who had abortions to repentance and healing. Bring about the conversion of the abortionist, of those who deny the birthright of children and of those who are indifferent. Grant me the courage and energy to be a Defender of Life. I ask this through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
