BELONGING
We welcome new disciples to our
parish communities. If you live
within our parish boundaries, which
is our mission field, then you are
already a member. It is still
important that you register at the
Parish Oce or during registration
weekends so we can communicate
with you throughout the year. We
are here to help you meet Jesus
Christ, grow in holiness, and fully
participate in a life of prayer.
Please call or stop at either parish
oce, or speak with Fr. Schuster.
We are disciples together!

FROM FR. SCHUSTER
We are a Church on a mission. COVID-19 can no
longer slow down our missionary efforts and we
are resolved to push forward using everything that
we have learned about the virus, safety protocols,
and the spiritual warfare that is needed to protect
us from harm. We will continue all of our safety
and sanitization practices. Our schools will be
opening, we want Mass attendance to grow up to
50% capacity, and we are getting ready for our
CCD season. New Trustees are being elected.
Both of our Pastoral Councils are appointing new
members. The leadership team is being chosen
and formed. We are hiring according to our new
mission statements (parish and school). Things
will look a bit different, but the Holy Spirit is
pushing us to get out and safely share the Gospel.
Despite the politics and the debates about this
topic, wearing a mask is still a selfless way of
showing people that you are sensitive to your own
health and the safety of others. The holiest things
we do are the things that we do not necessarily
want to do or even agree with. I have chosen to say
a prayer to end the COVID-19 scare every time I put
a mask over my face. Will you?
Next week I will be making the spiritual exercises
of St. Ignatius on a 5-day silent retreat. Priest are
required to make a retreat each year. You are all in
my prayers next week. It is a joy to serve here.

livestreamed from each parish.
7:30am (SM) and 9:00am (HT).

ST. MARY HOME & SCHOOL
PLAYGROUND EXPANSION PROJECT
St. Mary Home & School is accepting direct donations for their efforts to
improve the St. Mary Playground this August. The parish is pledging
$5,000 towards the project. Home & School is pledging roughly $5,000
as well. We will add swings that are accessible to smaller children, newer
and safer spinning elements, and repair current equipment. If you would
like to help, please designate a gift to St. Mary Home & School. We need
particular help with the following major items:
1. Trimming of the aging and dangerous tree limbs that are
hanging over the playground expansion area
2. Leveling of the ground prior to installation
3. Moving the current sandbox to a new location
4. Procuring rounded-edge “pea gravel” to match the current gravel
5. Drilling and digging for the new swing set posts.
6. Removal of unused posts.
7. We need much help on installation day in mid-August.
If you have the equipment, finances, or resources to help; call Jennifer
Cory at 866-2499. This project is partly in memory of Wayne Zirbel.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
MISSION APPEAL 2020
Every year the parishes of the Green
Bay Diocese welcome a speaker from
an approved missionary organization.
An envelope collection is taken, and
the proceeds are split between all of
the approved organizations that
traverse the diocese from May to
August. This year we were expecting a
priest from the Diocese of Ijebu -Ode ,
Nigeria, to visit our parishes, speak,
and celebrate the Masses. Due to
COVID-19, the priest is not able to join
us for the missionary cooperation
appeal. We will still have the envelope
collection available beginning this
weekend. The envelope may be
placed in the collection at any time.
The Diocese of Ijebu -Ode, Nigeria, has
a support organization in Maryland
that helps raise funds for the mission.
www.foidinc.org
Included in this mission is support for
evangelization, priests and religious,
training of seminarians, primary health
care project for the villagers, and the
building of new places of worship as
the Diocese continues to grow.
~TRUSTEE ELECTION~
HOLY TRINITY PARISH
Having completed the nomination process, Holy Trinity Parish,
Casco, Wisconsin, will undergo the legal process of electing a new
Parish Trustee on the weekend of July 25-26. We want to thank
Dennis Worachek, outgoing Treasurer-Trustee, for his years of
service to the parish.
Ballots will be cast at the beginning of the Masses on July 25-26.
We will devise a way to cast the ballots that is COVID-19 safe. If you
are not yet comfortable attending Masses, please cast your ballot in
the ballot boxes near the entrances of Holy Trinity Church during
that weekend by Sunday, July 26th, at 6:00PM
Who can vote? Adult parishioners of the parish may vote once. A
parishioner is anyone registered with the parish and/or any Catholic
living in the parish boundaries even if he/she is not registered.
CANDIDATES
Mike Smiley:
I am 58 years old and I retired this May after
36 years with Georgia-Pacific in Green Bay.
I have been blessed with three women to
keep me on track; my wife Nancy of 35
years and two daughters, Briana and Taylor.
In 1990 when Nancy and I decided to build
between Luxemburg and Casco we became
members of Holy Trinity Church. It was an
inviting and comfortable place. When our
kids got old enough to attend school we did
some research and were happy to find that Holy Trinity graduates did
very good in High School, College and Life so they attended thru 6th
Grade. It was an excellent decision. I believe strongly in giving back
and volunteering and am willing to take on any role that will help Holy
Trinity Parish prosper if I have the skills needed.
David Vandenhouten:
I was born and raised in Casco. I worked for
Procter & Gamble for over 30 years. I
organized and started the Luxemburg-
Casco Soccer Club and was President for 6
years. I started the annual L.C. 3-v-3 soccer
tournament to raise money for the Boys and
Girls soccer programs.
I love Holy Trinity because this is the parish I
grew up in. While I was growing up, my
parents and grandparents promoted praying
the rosary daily. I always remembered the rosary being said before
Mass at Holy Trinity and I’m glad that this tradition is still continuing.
REMINDER: VOTE IN PERSON OR AT THE BALLOT BOXES
ON JULY 25TH OR JULY 26TH. THANK YOU TO OUR
