Sunday Fun at Home6.12.20.
God had a plan for his life –God has a plan for your life
too!
Baptism: Place a paper cup, with a little water in
the bottom, on top of a willing person’s head.
Grab your water pistol, stand 2 metres back and
try to shoot the cup off their head! You can fill an
empty washing up liquid bottle with water if you
can’t find your water pistol!
This will remind you that John would dunk people
under the water to baptise them!
Word Challenge!
From the words “John the Baptist”
how many three, four or five letter
words can you make in only two
minutes?
Treasure Map!
Hide something small in your room (the treasure). On your map you will need to draw all the furniture and windows. You need to mark a starting place (maybe by the doorway) then give your volunteer instructions such as 2 steps left or 1 step forward. Whenever they reach an obstacle (the coffee table or your box of toys!), you need to get them to step round it. You might give the instruction to crawl, if the treasure is on the floor, or stretch up if you’ve hidden it up high.
Just as you
have the plans
of where you
can find the
treasure, so
God has great
plans for your
life.
Craft: Baptism
You will need 2 paper plates, card, felt tip pens,
scissors, a stick and some glue.
Prayer: You will need a bowl of
water, some soap and a towel.
Think of something you need to say
sorry to God for. Maybe you were
mean to your brother, sister or
friend. Perhaps you didn’t do as
your parent asked or maybe you
had a horrid thought about
someone. Think of what you did
wrong and wash your hands, as you
say sorry to God.
You are now clean and God
has forgiven you. As you dry
your hands, remember to
thank God for forgiving you
and for sending Jesus.
Memory verse: Try to work out this verse from the Bible
where all the vowels are missing:
“- - l – n - k n – w t h - p l – n s - h – v – f – r y - -”
Look up Jeremiah 29 verse 11 to see if you’re right!
