He is risen!... can we say that?

Hi there! Happy Easter! Today we celebrate the day that Jesus defeated death. Today, especially today, we rejoice in this great and historical defeat. Every year we sing the “Exsultet.” With this hymn the person who proclaims it invites the community to exalt and rejoice with the fulfillment of the paschal mystery. Following in the song are the great moments in the history of salvation... Since today we will not been able to hear this I encourage you to look for it on-line and read it…

Also, this beautiful hymn will give us hope in this time of darkness that we are living in. Jesus’ Resurrection give us hope. He is risen! He defeated death. His light Is shining in these times.

I love the second paragraph of this hymn: “Be glad, let earth be glad, as glory floods her, ablaze with light from her eternal King, let all corners of the earth be glad, knowing an end to gloom and darkness.”

So, my dear brothers and sisters…REJOICE!... this dark time will pass because the light of Christ is more powerful than darkness and darkness cannot exist where there’s light.

¡Ha resucitado!... ¿podemos decir eso?

¡Hola! ¡Feliz Pascua! Hoy celebramos el día en que Jesús venció a la muerte. Hoy, especialmente hoy, nos regocijamos en esta gran e histórica Victoria. Cada año cantamos el "Exultet", con este himno la persona que lo proclama invita a la comunidad a exaltar y alegrarse con el cumplimiento del misterio pascual, siguiendo ,en el canto, los grandes momentos de la historia de la salvación... Como hoy no podremos escuchar este himno, les animo a que lo busquen en línea y lo lean...

Además, este hermoso himno nos dará esperanza en este tiempo de oscuridad que estamos viviendo. La resurrección de Jesús nos da esperanza, ha resucitado y ha vencido a la muerte. Su luz está brillando en estos tiempos.

Me encanta el segundo párrafo de este himno: Alégrense, que la tierra se alegre, como la gloria la inunda, ardiendo con la luz de su eterno Rey, que todos los rincones de la tierra se alegren, sabiendo el fin de la oscuridad y la oscuridad.

Así que, mis queridos hermanos y hermanas... ¡REGOCIJENSE!... este tiempo de oscuridad pasará porque la luz de Cristo es más poderosa que la oscuridad y la oscuridad no puede existir donde hay luz.

Feliz Pascua de Resurrección
