In business, there are two avenues for making money: retail and investment. These two ways of making money are great, but there are advantages and disadvantages to each one. In retail, you gain income immediately through sales. The only problem is this avenue involves only one distribution channel, and if you become sick or go on vacation, you stop earning money through that distribution channel. The Case Against SLS: Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) is used as a surfactant in toothpaste and is what provides the foamy effect when brushing your teeth with conventional brands. SLS is also a degreaser, which may be great for hair, but not the mouth. Tissues and gums in the mouth are composed of delicate lipids (fats) that should not be stripped. Foods also taste different after using toothpastes with SLS.
