III. Sizing specification and disclaimers

The Sun PeopleSoft Competency Center delivers sizing based on latest benchmark andcustomers deployment experiences.

Sizing are based on a an average of 60 to 70% usage of CPU and memory.

The expected average response time for transactions is below 3 seconds.

This sizing is based assuming the following restrictions :

Information provided to the PeopleSoft Competency Center are sufficient to do a

certified sizing.Production environment follows assumptions used for the sizing.

Customizations follow PeopleSoft recommended practices.

Production system installation follows Sun best practices.

In any case, we recommend :

Performing custom scalability tests with the final customized application to get formalresponse time and scalability measure.

To validate architecture design with Sun Professional Services.

To involve Sun Professional Service in deployment and tuning of the productionsystem.
