Join us for a STEAM Activity at the Library!
Do it yourself make-and-take crafts are
available each week for children who visit the
library on Friday afternoons. This program is
designed to help support creativity in your
child, and ability to follow step-by step
instructions. Ages 3+

Storytime is designed to promote and enhance
early literacy skills in your child. We incorporate
stories, movement songs, crafts and free
play in a way that encourages

for Family Place Workshops at the library!
Family Place Workshops are fun, informal,
play-based programs that provide a rich
environment of toys, books and arts

Rhythm & Rhyme is a story time focused on
exploring the world of music at the library.
During each session, we will use simple musical
instruments: egg shakers, rhythm sticks,
beanbags, and a parachute to enhance
literacy, balance, coordination and
rhythm through movement activities. Ages 2-6, Babies & Siblings

First, second and third graders are invited to
join Bookworm Buddies, an after-school group
at the Library! We will meet weekly for stories,
seasonal crafts, games, activities and
snacks. The Library is the perfect place

Certified Therapy Dogs will be visiting the Library
to hear children read! The goal of this program
is to create a relaxed atmosphere, allowing
children to practice the skill of reading. This
program will build confidence reading,
improve oral reading skills, and
associate reading with a
positive experience. Ages 3+

Join us for a visit from our physical therapist
friends. They will be here to guide us
through a story and fun,
related physical activities! Ages 2+

Join us for a Block Party at the Library! Build a
tower, a neighborhood, or create your own
story using our wooden blocks. Block play
builds helps the development of your child
and enhances math skills, science skills,
literacy, language skills, social skills,

Join us for a STEAM Activity at the Library!
During this program, we will share a story
about building, and work with architects to
design our own paper house! Ages 2-8
Wednesday, October 10th at 5:30PM Kids in the Kitchen is a recipe for a fun-filled
program all about healthy foods, healthy lives,
and exercise! During this program, the Junior
League of Scranton will guide us through story
time, crafts, and making a healthy snack! Ages 3-6 & Older Siblings

Little Library Learners is designed by a certified
teacher to help prepare children for school.
During this program, children will develop
relationships, learn core concepts and skills
for Kindergarten readiness through stories,
crafts, engaging activities, and

Miss Amber has many fun activities we will
choose from each week—art projects, video-
games, trivia and more! We will share snacks
