Love Offering for our Interim Youth Leaders and Administrative
Assistant—In appreciation for all the love and service of our interim
youth leaders, Sue Sommer and Liz Tracy, and for Marcia Nelson, who
is moving to Sarasota, we invite you to make a love offering marked
“Interim Youth Leaders” or “Marcia”. Please also offer your thanks in person for a job well done.
Director of Children‟s Ministries—We need a full time staff person to oversee Nursery through
5th grade Children’s Ministry at First Church. Please submit electronic resumes only, to Bernie
Florida UM Children‟s Home—Next Sunday is the 5th Sunday and as such we will be accepting
an offering to benefit our Children’s Home in Enterprise, Florida. You will find envelopes in your
bulletin next week, so please come prepared to share! Many thanks from the residents of the
FUMCH!
Financial Peace—There are a few spaces available for this class on Monday nights from 7pm-
10pm, upstairs in the Faith Building. Call Bernie for more information. 954-752-0333
Choir Robes — The choir would like to purchase 50 new robes. Choir members have made
their donations toward new robes and need the congregation’s financial support to finalize this
purchase. If you can help the choir get new robes, please put your donation in the offering
plate labeled “Choir Robes”.
Band of Brothers— The men of First Church are invited to join together for breakfast on
Saturday morning, May 28th, 8am.
Graduating Seniors—If you have a High School senior graduating
this year we would like to include them as we honor the graduating
class of 2011. Please submit their names, HS attended and post HS

Volunteer for Hope Women‟s Center—Our mission is to encourage and equip women to make
informed choices regarding unplanned pregnancies. We rely on many volunteers to make this
possible. Our next Volunteer Orientation is May 21 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Davie.
