Summit X650 provides the high network availability required for mission-critical servers and applications through its advanced modular OS, highly available hardware architecture and carrier-grade network redundancy protocols.

Denial of Service ProtectionSummitX650effectivelyhandlesDenialofService(DoS)attacks.IftheswitchdetectsanunusuallylargenumberofpacketsintheCPUinputqueue,itassemblesACLsthatautomaticallystopthesepacketsfromreachingtheCPU.Afteraperiodoftime,theseACLsareremoved,andreinstallediftheattackcontinues.ASIC-basedLPMroutingeliminatestheneedforcontrolplanesoftwaretolearnnewflows,allowingmorenetworkresilienceagainstDoSattacks.
