Kindercamp is a half day camp that is perfect for your little preschooler. Kindercamp provides SPICE. Social, physical, intellectual, creative, emotional growth and development of young children in our friendly, nurturing and safe environment.

MissionThe YMCA of Medicine Hat, a charity supported by

volunteers, is devoted to enriching our community

by providing services to people of all ages, within a

safe, healthy environment that enhances personal

wellness.

Values The YMCA of Medicine Hat is dedicated to actively

demonstrating the core values of respect, honesty,

responsibility, caring, and inclusiveness in all

aspects of our organization.

Staff & Volunteer InformationYMCA Summer Camps are planned and supervised

by full-time YMCA staff. Camp leaders are selected

for their maturity, experience, and skill with

children. All of our leaders have First-Aid and CPR

certifications, and receive a comprehensive 10 day

training session about YMCA leadership, safety and

emergency procedures. Volunteers are selected

based on their commitment and experience to the

YMCA. All staff and volunteers go through a

security clearance prior to the start of camp.

Alberta Camping Association (ACA)By choosing an Accredited Camp, you can be

assured that basic health and safety needs are

being addressed within the camp. Further, member

camps join together to ensure that collectively, we

are aware of the issues that affect this industry and

together we are working on educating ourselves

about these issues. The YMCA of Medicine Hat has

been a member of the Alberta Camping Association

for over 16 years. Standards such as staff to camper

ratios, emergency procedures, site safety, and much

more are all requirements of being part of the ACA.

(Downtown, South Ridge, Elkwater)

Financial AssistanceThe YMCA of Medicine Hat wants everyone to have

the opportunity to participate in Summer Day

Camp and other programs that we offer. Financial

Aid is available to those who need assistance. We

value youth and do not want to create barriers for

them, as they are the leaders of tomorrow.
