Navigating the Multi-Generational WorkplaceNEW! There is much discussion today inbusiness about the importance of wel-coming people from diverse back-grounds who bring different perspectivesto the workplace. Yet when we think ofdiversity, we usually think of race andgender. Age in an important element indeveloping a diverse team of people aswell. For the first time in history, fourgenerations of people are finding them-selves working side by side. It is impera-tive that companies not only satisfy theneeds of the established Baby Boomersand Traditionalists who hold most of thejobs, but also attract the talented techsavvy Gen X and Millennial employeesand customers if they are to be success-ful. The different generations don’t al-ways understand each other or seeeye-to-eye. With eduation and communi-cation, the generational gaps can bebridged and successfully navigated. Thisis a fun topic that takes a look at the pastand the future in order to ensure that all generations are appreciated, valuedand optimized in the workplace and themarketplace.
