Training / projects undertaken,if any (give details)Project Details: (1) Vibrational analysis of simply supported and cantilever beam. In this project thenatural frequency for both beams of three different material is calculated analytically using Euler'sbeam theory and results from first three mode is compared with modal analysis in ANSYSWorkbench14. (2) Stress analysis of plate with hole of different geometry. In this project the stressdistribution in a plate with hole of different geometry like elliptical, pentagonal and hexagonal arestudied by keeping the area of hole constant and the result is compared with ANSYS APDL14.5 forthe stress concentration factor for each case. (3) Transient Thermal and Thermomechanical Analysisof welded joint. In this project the time dependant thermal behaviour of plates after doing welding isstudied for different time steps and due to thermal load the mechanical behaviour of plate in termsof Von mises stress and deformation in plate is studied in ANSYS APDL14.5 and the same resultsare compared with COMSOL Multiphysics5.0 package. Training Detail: (1) Vocational training atESSAR Steel India Limited, Hazira, Gujarat in a time period 16/05/2013 to 06/06/2013 in afocussed area of working and maintenance of Boiler, Blower and Turbine. I have also completed thecertified course of 'Creo for Design Engineers (Creo 2.0)' authorised by PTC University.

I have done projects in Theory of Elasticity and Plastisity titled 'Verification of stress concentrationfactor for a plate with a hole of different geometry with different corner radius' and in FiniteElement Method project titled 'Transient Thermal and Thermomechanical analysis of welded plate'is also completed. During my graduation I have done project titled 'Vibrational analysis of simplysupported and cantilever beam' and 'Design and fabrication of Multi operation machine tool' Thissummer research internship will add great value to my knowledge in design field specifically inFracture Mechanics, Vibration and other related field. As IISc and IITs are great platform forknowledge building where I will get exposure to the best professors in India, I am really lookingforward to this internship. This internship will also help me in doing PhD that I am willing to doafter completion of my masters. Thank you.
