Spend your summer with us!

All of us at Providence Academy are excited to invite you and your family to experience a variety of enriching and fun experiences for students age 5 to those in the Class of 2019. Participants do not need to be enrolled at Providence Academy to participate and may register for one activity or several. The PALS Camp is an excellent option for students, age 5 through entering grade 6, who want a full-day camp experience.

We promote active learning in a safe and comfortable environment by providing quality content, excellent instructors, and a focus on faith in God and moral character. Most activities take place on the school’s beautiful 42-acre campus, conveniently located in Plymouth, allowing students to take advantage of the outstanding available resources, including a synthetic multi-sport field and state-of-the-art performing arts center.

Many of our programs reach enrollment capacity, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible atwww.providenceacademy.org/summer.

We look forward to being a part of your summer!

New! KINDLING THE FIRE WITHIN: HOW TO GO DEEPER IN PRAYER AND DETACHMENTJoin Mrs. Jendro in reading and discussing Fr. Tomas Dubay’s book The Fire Within, a modern and easily-understandable explanation of the teaching on prayer from the Gospels, and by the spiritual masters on prayer—St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross. These insights are for everyone, and with the help of Fr. Dubay’s book and Mrs. Jendro’s guidance, are accessible to any student who desires to go deeper in their relationship with Christ. Topics include the lives of St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross, types and levels of prayer, conditions for growth, freedom through detachment, the universal call to holiness, and union with God.

Over the course of six weeks, students will learn how to go deeper in prayer and grow in virtue, as well as apply the topics of the book to their personal lives through our weekly conversations and discussion. Note: Students must purchase their own book (available through Amazon).

SOIL APPLICATION RESEARCH PROJECT This summer, the Soil Application Research Program will track the effects of fertilizer, compost, and the novel soil amendment known as “Precision Organics Test Product” (POTP) on the growth of river birch trees and swamp white oak trees growing on Providence Academy’s property. Additionally, participants will evaluate how these affect aspects of soil chemistry and soil biology. Students participating in the program will engage in multiple phases of the scientific research process, including experimental design, data collection and statistical analysis. Research will be conducted by Dr. Yvonne Boldt, in partnership with Dr. John Lloyd of Precision Organics. Our interest in this project is to examine how fertilizers, composts, and other products, impact soil microbes, and how these products impact the quality of soils for growing flowers, trees, and vegetables in urban landscapes.
