Animal Welfare DayLocal Dive Site Clean Up
The DSS team is heading to a local dive site near you! Come help lend a hand with us and thecrew from Tangaroa, as we pick up as much debris as we can.Categorising to find out where the waste ending up in our ocean comes from.There will be a BBQ lunch for a gold coin donation, with all proceeds going to our local charity.
Spearfishing Gear Try-Out Day
Wish you could try out that gun or those pair of fins you want before you buy it? No problem! Our local team from Rob Allen, Salvimar, OceanHunter and more will be bringing inmost of our range for you to jump in our pooland have a go, we’ll even have a target upto test your accuracy! Bookings essential.

POW Hyperbaric Chamber Excursion Ever wondered what happens iwhen a diver get the bends? If so, divers are invited to an evening with the staff at the POW Hyperbaric Unit and take a dry dive in the Unit’s chamber for those that would like to.Snacks, tea and coffee included $50PP

We have International Womans Day, so it’s only fair we have a day for the blokes out there as well. We want to make sure all the guys out there are well loved and have a support group they know they can turn to and what better an outlet than diving! Historical Divers SocietyInfo Day
Bell helmets, frogmen and rebreathers oh my! The crew from HDS have collected and preserved so many pieces of antique diving equipment, from helmet’s (also known as hard hat or standard dress), equipment from frogmen during wartime, even early rebreathers and today is the day to come and walk in the shoes of the pioneers of diving history!

We’re all about sustainability @ DSS so we thought to join forces with our local fisheries office. They boys are coming in with their fish care program, wish is all about fish identification, information and good fishing techniques, tips and tricks.Good fun for fisherman of all ages!
