INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY IIT Mandi Summer Internship Programme 2015 IIT Mandi invites applications from 2 nd , 3 rd and 4 th year B.Tech. / B.E. students and 1st year PG or Masters students for the summer internship programme at IIT Mandi. The internships will be in frontier areas of: • Artificial Photosynthesis • Bioceramics • Climate Change and Disease Modeling • Cognitive Science and HCI • Big Data Analytics • Development of Civil Engineering labs • Different Web Service Portal for Library (knowledge of php is required) • Differential Equations/ Inverse Problem/Control Problem • Experimental Condensed Matter Physics and Nanomaterials • Geology and Geo-techniques • Kernel Methods for Pattern Analysis • Magneto-Transport Study of the Superconducting Materials • Nanobiotechnology • Nanomaterials • Nanoscience and Nanotechnology • Numerical Analyis and Computational Fluid Dynamics • Physical Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Protein Folding, Drug Delivery • Piezoelectric and Pyroelectric Energy Harvesting Materials and Methods • Power • Renewable Energy with the Topic of “Production of Renewable Fuel from Auto-exhaust Product” • Semiconductor / Electro Chemical Deposition of Nano Structures • Supramolecular Chemistry • Theoretical Chemistry • Water quality Analysis and Parameter Estimation The period of internship will be about 8 weeks starting from June 1 st till July 25 th , 2015. Selected candidates will be provided free hostel accommodation and a stipend of Rs. 8000/- for the entire 8 weeks period. Travel and living expenses should be borne by the candidate. Terms and Conditions 1. Only students having a minimum CGPA of 7.5/10 or equivalent percentage of marks will be considered. 2. The number of students selected for the internship is subjected to the requirement of faculty in various disciplines of the institute. 3. Selected candidates will have to arrange letters of recommendation from their Institute. 4. Selected candidates will be informed via e-mail. 5.
