Teacher Inquiry and Practice AUGUST 6-10, 2012 Summer Institute II is an advanced seminar for PhilWP Teacher Consultants (TCs) who want to engage in or expand on a research project focused on any aspect of their teaching practice. TCs are invited to assert a perspective and embrace the intellectual art of teaching. Course Dates and Commitments Attend 1-week course in August to develop research questions and to explore research strategies and techniques Attend 8 follow-up sessions Present research findings at the University of Pennsylvania’s annual Ethnography Forum Course Credit Participants will receive 1 CEU (continuing education course unit). 1 CEU is equivalent to 3 continuing education credits recognized by the School District of Philadelphia and other educational entities. The course also awards 30 ACT 48 credits. Cost Tuition is FREE for up to 8 teacher consultants thanks to combined support from the National Writing Project, Philadelphia Writing Project, and University of Pennsylvania.
