Our lives can easily be characterized by fear in days like these! The following accounts are just a few examples of how your faithful support and fervent prayers are at work through Women in the Window International.

Middle East|North Africa: Women received leadership training so that they can minister even more effectively in this strategic and volatile region. Called to Courage Spring LuncheonNight of Prayer and Evening on Flagler

Called to Courage | More than 200 women—and a few good men—joined Women in the Window’s Spring Luncheon, once again held at the beautiful Beach Club in Palm Beach, Florida. Our speaker this year was Koki Desai, Women’s Ministry director of Evangelical Fellowship of India! Koki is one of our WiW faithful ministry partners, and a seasoned Christian leader with more than 30 years of ministry experience. Her stories of women’s oppression and her comments on the power of partnership, and specifically partnership with Women in the Window International, brought showers of blessing. The resulting financial offerings and interested volunteers allow the work of WiW to continue to grow and spread across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and America.

Annual Night of Prayer | On Friday night, June 24th, Women in the Window staff, volunteers, local church connections—women and men alike—came together to pray for all of our supporters and prayer partners. We received nearly 100 prayer requests and we prayed for each and every one. We are blessed and grateful beyond words for your support and want to recognize your offerings to Women in the Window with the gift of our prayers. Please include any prayer requests on the enclosed reply card and we will pray with faith, believing that God will both hear and answer our prayers, “And this is the confidence which we have before Him… if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.” 1 John 5:14-15.

Evening on Flagler | We are quite excited about our Fall Event this year, which will take place at a new location: The Lake Pavilion, on Friday evening, October 14th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. This delightful venue for Evening on Flagler will provide another waterfront location to experience how God is offering Good News to the poor and replacing darkness and despair with light and hope in Christ. Please plan to join us for the sights, sounds and tastes of the four corners of the world as we venture together into new seasons and new frontiers!

WHY NUMBERS MATTER AND SO DO YOU! THE IMMEASURABLE VALUE OF VOLUNTEERS

Have you thought much about why numbers count? I have. And God’s word has lots to say about the significance of numbers. God completed His created order in just 7 days. Remarkable. And while He doesn’t tell us exactly how many stars He created, His word does say that He counts the number of the stars; and He gives them all their names. If astronomer’s calculations are correct, their number exceeds one billion trillion; that looks like a number 1 with 21 zeroes.

God knows the number of the hairs on our heads (Luke 12:7), and even the grains of sand by the sea! Yet my favorite “statistic” is the following: His thoughts towards us are simply innumerable—their sum too vast to count (Psalm 139:17-18). Such is the way of our God and the pattern of His immeasurable love and goodness.

Numbers matter for Women in the Window as well. We have 14 servant leaders who are eager to include you in one of our capacity building areas. They have much experience, with a combined 476 years as Christ-followers, to provide training for our women leaders helping them reach their own family, community and nation for Christ. Each servant leader serves as a team leader for our trainings and trips. They also have vast education and experience in their respective fields of Heart (Spiritual development), Head (Leadership development), Health (Physical development), Hands (Economic development) and Prayer.

Yes numbers matter, yet, one number is missing. Maybe that one is you? As in God’s economy, every person is of inestimable value. Would you consider serving as a team member in any of these six capacities? To learn more, please contact our office by email, phone or with the enclosed reply card. We’ll be happy to schedule a time to meet with you.

From the Heart of our Director

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow--not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love.” Romans 8:38-39

I am continually amazed by the courage of the women we serve in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and America. I often ponder

this, asking myself and the LORD just how they find the courage to stand against such inherent evil in times like these? In many places where Women in the Window serves and trains women leaders, women are treated as less important than physical property. Far less.

But in the midst of all this, they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and that knowledge replaces their fear with faith. The opposite of fear is not only faith, but love! God has clearly shown His undeniable love in the Cross. The Cross is a place of extreme pain, suffering and even torment. But the Cross is the place of ultimate love exemplified. The response of these beautiful women? To place their lives in His care and His service!

How about you? I would be remiss if I didn’t ask you if you have received the free gift of eternal life and love offered only in Christ! Are you convinced that nothing will ever separate you from His love? I hope so! If not, take some time right now to seek Him, because He is already seeking you, waiting to hear you say, “Here I am, Lord, I receive You. I love You. I trust You. I will serve You.”

In His irresistible love,

Executive Director
