What is Prezi Prezi is a web-based presentation application and storytelling tool that uses a single canvas instead of traditional slides with zooming capabilities.

It is cloud based and accessible from everywhere

It is also very engaging because it had the “Wow” factor that PowerPoint is lacking!

Create an account for yourself • Go to www.prezi.com

• In the top, right corner of the screen click on sign up

• Choose student and teacher icon at the bottom of the screen

• Choose the operation Edu Enjoy

• Click on start and enter your school email address(pesmaili@dmusd.org)

• Login to your school email account and verify the email address. Now you can start!!!

Tutorial

You can insert sound and music to your Prezi easily. For example, if you want to have your students’ recording, first go to photobooth and record their voices.(you can cover the camera so we don’t have their faces as Prezi is public), then drag the movie to desktop. Open your prezi and go to insert>file>find the file on your desktop. Once inserted, make sure it’s part of your path. Now you can shrink it and cover it with student’s art work or some shapes. You can easily share someone’s Prezi and make it your own. Just go to explore tab

and type the key word, once you found the Prezi you like, click on the bottom left corner

“Make a copy”. You’ll see a copy of that Prezi in your Prezi folder. Now you can delete or make changes. There are great open house Prezi examples for you to explore.

Sharing Prezi

You can use the autoplay option to run your presentation automatically. Make sure you are in the screen shown below:

Then chose the more option and select Autoplay. The show will run automatically (4s per path).
